Supporting Sustainable Design Where It Matters Most We’re big believers in sustainability—and we’re glad the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is too. Their Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requires green building certification for affordable housing, and we’re proud to support that mission through thoughtful, sustainable design. 🌱Sinclair Family Apartments – LEED for Homes Certified, designed with energy-conscious strategies that reduce long-term costs for residents. 🌱Easton Place Homes – Enterprise Green Communities Certified, designed with health, resilience, and sustainability in mind. For us, it’s more than checking a box. It’s a chance to build smarter, support communities, and push sustainable design forward—project by project.

Your story. Your way. Your space is a powerful tool for telling your story. It’s an opportunity to shape a message to connect with those who are interacting with it. Our experiential design team dives deep into your why and your culture to create history walls that honor your journey and are designed to grow with you. ⭐ Burgess & Niple’s Headquarters features abstract bridge trusses that symbolically reference the company's origins as water engineers. Although the history panels appear permanent, they are designed so that they can be updated, ensuring they can evolve over time as needed. ⭐ At Danis’ Columbus office, we created a timeline wall to visually show their impact on Midwest communities and in a way that is flexible for a variety of shapes, sizes, and information over time. ⭐ At White Castle’s Home Office, our team crafted a 4-story timeline designed in a classic, chronological style. To keep things fun, engaging, and on brand, the wall includes interchangeable satire, offering a fresh twist for team members who take the stairs each day! History walls can be both impactful and adaptable to share your experience and highlight your path ahead!

Welcome to The Bailey—where active-adult living meets elevated design and urban convenience. In collaboration with Friendship Village and Crawford Hoying, MA Design helped bring this unique 87-unit independent living community to life at Bridge Park. Residents enjoy concierge-level services, proximity to entertainment and dining, and seamless access to care as their needs evolve—all within a modern, right-sized home. The building’s contemporary architecture aligns with Bridge Park’s urban aesthetic, while its thoughtful layout maximizes the sloping site with features like a secure parking garage and a private terrace for outdoor gatherings. As climate-related disasters continue to displace millions of people across the U.S. each year, the concept of climate havens—regions seen as safer from wildfires, hurricanes, and rising sea levels—is gaining traction. Cities in the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, like Columbus and Cincinnati, are already seeing growth due to this migration. But with this growth comes pressing questions: Are these communities prepared? How can we build in a way that supports both sustainability and equity? In our latest blog, we explore the complex realities of climate migration and the strategies needed to support resilient, inclusive growth. From designing buildings to withstand extreme heat and flooding, to addressing the affordable housing shortage, this piece offers insight into how we can shape our climate havens today to ensure they remain livable tomorrow. Infection prevention starts long before patients step into a hospital. Central Ohio Medical Textiles (COMTEX) provides critical linen services to both OhioHealth and Mount Carmel Health System facilities—from surgical gowns and scrubs to patient blankets and drapes. Our team designed their new Ashland facility to support safety at every step, with tightly controlled clean and soiled zones, pressure-regulated spaces, and a workflow built around sterilization and efficiency. The result? A high-performing facility that supports workers, protects patients, and allows for future growth as healthcare needs evolve. 🔗 https://loom.ly/cyWmo2E

Revitalizing an outdated office into a vibrant living community, Altura Apartments redefines urban living for young professionals. This adaptive reuse project transforms a 1980s office building into thoughtfully designed apartments featuring 40 unique layouts—ranging from efficient studios to spacious two-bedroom units. Our interior design approach blends modern comfort with Mediterranean resort-inspired aesthetics, incorporating natural wood textures, rich blues and greens, and warm terracotta hues. The tenant lounge serves as the community’s centerpiece, with Italian-inspired lemon wallcovering and an arched colonnade, while the fitness center energizes residents with bold brass lighting and terracotta accents. Navigating the balance between existing finishes and a fresh design vision, we created a seamless, inviting environment that maximizes function and style. Altura Apartments stands as a testament to the power of transformation, turning outdated spaces into inspired places to live. Learn more - https://loom.ly/R4Dxurw
