“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” —Alan Kay. Meet Bobby Anderson, our VP/GM of Tactical Edge. Bobby has spent over 21 years in the aerospace and defense industry, from designing guidance systems, radios, and displays to opening new markets in satellite communication system products. He spent many years at Honeywell, a global aerospace product leader, where he departed as the general manager of the Connected Aerospace business unit. Then, Bobby "shifted" to startup life at Shift5, another well-known defense tech startup focusing on onboard weapon systems, cybersecurity, and preventative maintenance, where he left as the VP/GM of aviation. "I came to Defense Unicorns to realize a vision of dramatically increasing the defense capabilities of the US and our Allies. My goal is to deliver new ongoing capabilities to every warfighter so quickly that no adversary would dare challenge our dominance. I see this desired speed as a strategic deterrent to a larger global conflict." - Bobby Anderson.
