Daniels & Daniels Construction Company is a North Carolina based commercial construction firm with over 60 years’ experience building a variety of projects for public and private clients in the Carolinas. Being conservative, in both how we operate our business and how we handle our clients’ projects, basically with an “ownership mentality,” has given us longevity in a volatile industry. This thought process enables us to better serve our customers as we relentlessly focus on three overarching outcomes: Quality Workmanship, On-time delivery, and Within Budget. Daniels and Daniels provides design-bid-build, design-build, and project development services to our customers. In addition, our firm enjoys a long-standing successful partnership with Star Metal Building Systems as a dealer of their pre-engineered metal buildings. 🎉 Big News from Daniels & Daniels! 🎉 Today, we celebrated our 2nd NCDOL Building STAR Project at the New Pender County Law Enforcement Center! ⭐️🏗️ For over a decade, D&D has proudly partnered with NCDOL on construction projects across Eastern NC, building not just structures but a culture of safety. Our commitment to going beyond the minimum standards ensures every worker has the resources and support needed to stay safe on the job. 👏 A Huge Milestone: D&D officially became a STAR Building Contractor in December 2023 at the Fremont Elementary School Project. Now, we’re continuing that commitment at Pender County LEC—and soon at Rosewood Middle School in Goldsboro, NC! 👷♂️ At today’s safety meeting, Safety & Health Director Mike Bryan delivered a powerful message on the importance of situational awareness. A bilingual team member ensured our Spanish-speaking workforce received the message loud and clear. Communication & teamwork = safety! ✅ Our veteran STAR team members from our first STAR site also joined the discussion, setting expectations and reinforcing our safety-first mindset. On January 25th, Daniels and Daniels Construction Co. (D&D) was honored with a ‘Construction Excellence Award’ from the Carolinas Associated General Contractors (CAGC) at its annual convention in Charleston SC. The ‘Construction Excellence Award’ was presented for the New Bern City Hall project. In partnership with the City of New Bern and MBF Architects, this project exemplifies the seamless blend of historical preservation and modern construction techniques. The project was finished on schedule, and with zero lost time accidents. Renovating a historical structure always presents challenges. One of the most significant hurdles, for this project, was the tight clearance between adjacent properties. The new structure was only 3 feet away from a historic church property, which was built in 1820, and borders an active church playground. In addition, there was less than a 2-foot clearance from the building to the existing city street sidewalk. Despite these constraints, the D&D team’s attention to detail ensured a successful outcome, which is evident when first approaching the building. We would like to thank the many partners who worked alongside our team to make this project a success, as well as the CAGC for this recognition.
