Our structures team has been hard at work on the Holly Springs Road Widening project! This project is transforming approximately 7,950 LF of roadway from a two-lane to a four-lane with a grass median. The improvements are already noticeable, enhancing traffic flow and safety for drivers and pedestrians alike. A huge thank you to our dedicated builders for their hard work and commitment—we couldn’t do it without you! We’re excited to see the positive impact this will have on the Holly Springs community as we work toward completion.

We’re excited to announce that Martin Lehmann has been promoted to Sr. Preconstruction Manager at Fred Smith Company! Martin has been a key part of our team for nearly 9 years, starting as a Project Engineer Intern in May 2016 and advancing through roles including Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and most recently Project Manager since October 2021. Based in Raleigh, NC, Martin’s expertise in project management and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact on our projects and people. Thank you, Martin, for your hard work and leadership—we’re thrilled to see you take on this new role!

Fred Smith Company proudly completed our 2nd Annual FSC Construction Hike for Hope this weekend, supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention! We hiked to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to all our incredible sponsors for making this event a success. Together, we’re stepping up for mental health!

We are thrilled to celebrate Brent Kuritz and his outstanding achievements with Fred Smith Company! Brent joined us nearly three years ago in our fleet division, and through his dedication and hard work, he recently graduated from our Engineering Development Program. We are excited to announce that he is stepping into his new role as a Junior Estimator. Brent’s commitment to growth and excellence embodies the values we hold dear at Fred Smith Company, and we are grateful to have such a talented and driven individual on our team. Together, we reviewed our current standing, discussed critical safety priorities, and outlined our vision for the future. None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible builders—thank you all for making us who we are today.

Fred Smith Company is proud to help bring one of three new Publix locations to the Triangle area. The Publix off Buffaloe Road in Raleigh is set to open in 2025, alongside two other stores in Rolesville and Garner. Each location will create opportunities for around 140 associates, contributing to the growth and vibrancy of our community. A huge thank you to our hardworking builders for their dedication and to Ashland Construction Company for trusting us to deliver excellence on this exciting project. We’re honored to play a role in this expansion that will serve so many in our area.
