  • If you’ve fostered a culture of #diversityandinclusion, you likely have a multigenerational workforce. Bridging the gap between generations can be challenging, but also provide positive business outcomes. Open dialogue, promoting empathy, and recognizing unique perspectives and experiences bridges generational differences and fosters teamwork. Consider establishing employee resource groups or affinity networks and developing #mentorship programs (including reverse mentoring) to get the greatest benefit from the team.

  • Your resume is an ad for your personal brand. As with ads, it should efficiently convey your message with the goal of engaging your target audience (the hiring manager). Read on for three important steps to crafting an effective, job landing document. Understand Your Audience and Purpose: How? Research job descriptions, required skills, and qualifications in your target industry and roles and capture those that are recurring to understand what your target audience wants. Tailor your resume to match the expectations and preferences of the industry and modify as necessary when applying for specific employers/jobs. Organize Your Information Effectively: An ad has a headline and short messaging written to capture the attention of your target audience. Think of your name and contact information as the headline. Make sure your contact details such as your email and LinkedIn profile are professional (not personal). Write a concise summary or objective statement highlighting your career goals, key skills, and what you bring. This section should grab the employer’s attention and provide a quick overview of your qualifications. Highlight Your Skills and Experience: Promote your brand by emphasizing your accomplishments not just job duties. Use quantifiable achievements (e.g., “Increased sales by 30% in Q2 2023”) to demonstrate your impact. Customize your work experience section for each application, highlighting experiences and skills directly relevant to the job you are applying for (remember keywords). • If you are putting final touches on your #2025strategicplan here is a high-level checklist of important considerations:  Did you set clear and achievable goals? Think SMART.  Does your budget include expenditures for growth and uncertainty? Think beyond typical operational costs.  Did you prepare for potential challenges (or opportunities depending on your mindset)?  What is the plan for internal communication? Effective communication is key for buy-in and action within the organization.

  • Recognize these people? They are CornerStone colleagues coming together to support the annual Cook Children’s Radiothon. This photo is a Thursday throwback to 2016. A worthy event the organization still takes part in at the end of every year. When you phone in your donation, you may be speaking with them.
