  • April is Cesarean Awareness Month — a time to uplift, inform, and empower the many women whose birth journeys include a C-section. Here's what every mother deserves to know: • Your delivery does NOT define you. Every birth plan is different, and every birth is a journey. • A C-section is NOT the easy way out. A C-section is a medically necessary path taken with courage and strength. • Recovery is NOT one-size-fits-all. Each recovery journey is uniquely personal, and it's important to follow guidance from your provider. • You may have options for wound closure. Talk to your provider about your options, including INSORB®, the cosmesis-proven skin closure solution that helps you look and feel your best. At CooperSurgical, we believe in informed choices, compassionate care, and supporting providers with the tools they need to guide patients through every step of the birth experience. Patients and their providers are a team, and the shared goal is clear: a safe, healthy outcome for both mother and baby. Let's continue to normalize, support, and educate around ALL birth experiences. ❤️ #CesareanAwarenessMonth #CSectionAwareness #BirthIsBirth #MaternalHealth #WomensHealth #InformedChoices #ProviderSupport

  • We are excited to share that a new peer-reviewed publication evaluating Paragard® (intrauterine copper contraceptive) Single-Hand Inserter for the T380A intrauterine copper contraceptive has been published in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) journal, O&G Open. The study, conducted at eight U.S. centers with 117 participants, showed nearly 100% success in Paragard placement. Investigators rated 86% of insertions as easy or very easy, and in 76% of cases, insertion time was perceived as shorter than with the prior two-hand inserter. No new safety concerns related to the insertion process were observed. Read the full study results at https://lnkd.in/e_BXmji7 INDICATIONS AND USAGE Paragard is a copper-containing intrauterine system (IUS) indicated for prevention of pregnancy in females of reproductive potential for up to 10 years. Important Safety Information Don’t use Paragard if you are or may be pregnant, have fibroids, a pelvic infection including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), get infections easily, certain cancers, unexplained bleeding, Wilson’s disease, or a copper allergy. IUDs, including Paragard, have been associated with an increased risk of PID. Pregnancy with Paragard is rare but can be life threatening and cause infertility or loss of pregnancy. Paragard may attach to or go through the uterus and cause other problems. Tell your healthcare provider (HCP) if you develop severe pain or fever shortly after placement, miss a period, have abdominal pain, or if Paragard comes out. If it comes out, use backup birth control. Tell your HCP you have Paragard before having an MRI or a medical procedure using heat therapy. At first, periods may become heavier and longer with spotting in between. Additional common side effects include anemia, pain during sex, backache, and vaginal discharge. Paragard does not protect against HIV or STDs. Only you and your HCP can decide if Paragard is right for you. Available by prescription only. You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA at www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088. • This is your sign to hit that "Apply Now" button. ✅ In a couple short months, CooperSurgical will welcome our newest class of interns. Former intern Saeid Tafazzol had the chance to join the company full time at the conclusion of his program, and now, he's sharing his top insights with future applicants. Keep reading to learn why Saied recommends the CooperSurgical internship program to students looking to take the next big step in their careers. Search our open positions at https://lnkd.in/eAGvtNh6 1️⃣If you could describe interning at CooperSurgical in one word, what would it be? It would be 'Innovative'. As interns, our main goal is to find a role that engages us in creative and innovative thinking. During my internship, I got to be in the middle of the action. I was allowed to explore brand new avenues and consequently play to my strengths. My peers were given these opportunities as well, and we all ended up adding greater value to our teams at CooperSurgical because we were encouraged to achieve our potential. 2️⃣ Why did you decide to stay with CooperSurgical after your internship was over? The potential to contribute to great projects. CooperSurgical, being a global company with a culture of growth and support, is the perfect place for a young engineer to achieve their vision. I have a diverse engineering/scientific background, from software engineering and robotics to optimization and mathematical modelling, and working here pushed me to exceed my limits. My team, and the company culture, values all input, including from a junior engineer like me. 3️⃣What would you say to someone considering an internship with CooperSurgical? If, every now and then, you wonder when you will make the leap into your destiny, this internship could be it. There are tons of opportunities to learn, innovate, and experiment. The program is multi-dimensional in the sense that you get exposure to many aspects of our industry, rather than focusing solely on specific characteristics of your role. So, I'd say, "What are you waiting for?!" #InternshipOpportunities #OneCooperIntern #SummerInternship
