From “We’re Just Exploring AI…” To “Can we add some more team members to this call?” We’ve seen this moment enough times now to know it by heart. Lukewarm interest turns into people calling other stakeholders to urgently join our demo calls. It starts with customers being. Cautiously optimistic. Maybe even a little skeptical - “We’re here to explore what AI can do for us. But honestly… not sure how helpful it really is in tendering.” Fair enough. AI hasn’t always lived up to the hype in B2B workflows. But then, we run an analysis on one of their real tenders. And that’s when it happens. We start surfacing the clauses they usually miss.  - Indemnity without a cap - A penalty clause tucked into Annexure IV - No price escalation allowed for a 3-year contract The room gets quiet. Then someone says: “Wait—can we bring our legal head onto this call right now?” or “Our commercial team needs to see this too.” And just like that, the energy shifts. They’re not just exploring AI anymore. They’re experiencing what AI can do when it’s built for their world. That moment when belief replaces doubt, is exactly what keeps us building at ContraVault. It reminds us why domain-trained GenAI matters. Why precision beats generic smarts. Why we’re just getting started revolutionizing how companies bid on tenders and RFPs. Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it. And suddenly, AI starts becoming very, very essential. #AI #GenAI #ContraVault

  • AI SAAS is changing how enterprises see value and how quickly sales cycles come to fruitful completion.

One of the things that we are continuously seeing with enterprise level AI-SAAS is the time to value which companies see from such solutions is remarkably quick as compared to traditional SAAS. Think of it this way - for a user to see value through a CRM, they’d have to start using it for a while, understand how it changes things and over a large period of time, they’d start seeing value. For AI-SAAS, this 6-12 month process of seeing value is reduced to almost 0. Some things that we have learnt with customers about this process are here: 1. Show Value to Customers during the Demo itself: When we demo the software to customers, the goal is to show them value and more often than not, customers see that in the first demo itself. They try to figure how their existing process can be done with AI with a super-high reduction in time and that is what we give them. Once that is there, the conversation is almost never stuck on price. 2. Formats and Structures matter: Customers care about the way they do and have been doing work. You cannot try to radically change that and get software adoption. We get the most success when we build to replicate the process a company follows and incorporate AI to make things faster and more accurate. It helps them compare the AI system’s efficiency while not moving away from a familiar process. 3. End-users are afraid: Users are becoming quite afraid of AI replacing them. While that is not the goal, it becomes very important to keep assuring people of that. If not done enough, people push to shelve your product citing various reasons. CXOs typically do not have this problem but final users mostly do. The quicker one can see value, the better it is and AI-SAAS has that ability. That is why, the potential for AI-SAAS to change the game in terms of reducing enterprise level sales-cycles is tremendous. The difference from traditional SAAS is so large that it is becoming difficult to put these two in even the same bracket. #AI #Startup #ContraVault

You can take people out of XLRI Jamshedpur but you can’t take XLRI out of people. 2.5 years after graduating from XL, I had the incredible opportunity to speak about ContraVault at ChiSquare by DARVIX. There are few things that feel as fulfilling as being able to give back to your Alma - especially given the things I found at XL - a belief that I could also be an entrepreneur, incredible faculty who stood by you no matter what (like Giridhar Ramachandran) and also a husband (Sayan), who is not too bad himself :) Here are 3 reflections that strongly hit me yesterday: 1. Never thought I would do this: I went into XL wanting to get a comfortable job at a large org. And I did. Getting to join Microsoft as a PM was a dream come true but before I graduated XL, I had this tingling feeling inside of me that wanted me to push harder - to build something of my own. Never thought I’d be here but I am and so, so far to go from here. 2. More Women on the Scene: Yesterday was incredible also because there were so many women at the stage, sharing their views and journeys (Saloni Malhotra, Vijaya Ghosh). There is this feeling in the community that I felt very strongly yesterday - that when it goes down to the wire, all women become family. Ever so proud about that. 3. Human Networks are the Greatest Tool for Marketing: During the talk, someone asked about how to open doors for sales at large companies? And the simple, honest answer was - through people you know who decide to help you out in some way or another. This happens through continuous and authentic engagement with people. Building these networks at point 1 forms the bedrock of all successful companies and entrepreneurs. Meeting Alums like Raj Narayan and Sudakshina Ghosh at the event only cemented this belief. We live in exciting times where the opportunity to create and grow is bigger than ever. It always helps when your Alma is this strong and driven towards helping each other through everything. As I said - You can take people out of XLRI but you can’t take XLRI out of people. #Startup #AI

Turning 23 today and Reflecting on a Year of Growth 🎉 This past year has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Starting a business in your early 20s teaches you more about life, resilience, and growth than you could ever imagine. Here are 5 lessons I learned in my 22nd year: 1. Startups aren’t just about starting—they’re about evolving. When I launched my startup, I was so certain it would succeed. But it didn’t. We hit roadblocks, and it felt like failure. Then came the pivot—rethinking our strategy, listening to feedback, and adapting. Today, that pivot is paying off. I've learnt that it is very important to keep moving, no matter what. 2. Health isn’t just personal—it’s professional. This year, I prioritized my health like never before—better sleep, regular exercise, and mental clarity. The compounding benefits have been incredible. If there’s one piece of advice I’d give anyone chasing big goals, it’s this: take care of yourself. A healthy body fuels a sharp mind. 3. Working with people you love is a privilege. My sister Isha joined me in the business this year, and it’s been incredible. Crazy deadlines, endless brainstorming, and big dreams. But through it all, I’ve realized how important it is to build your team with people you genuinely enjoy being around. Trust and fun matter. 4. That first salary hits different. This year, I drew my first ever salary from my own company. It wasn’t about the amount—it was about the meaning. That is a moment I’ll never forget. 5. Failure is inevitable, your response is a choice This year, I failed more than I succeeded. But every failure was a lesson in disguise. If there’s one takeaway from this year, it’s that resilience is the ultimate superpower. Keep going, even when it’s tough. Here’s to more lessons, more growth, and more joy in the coming year.

  • Our COO with her thoughts on gender parity in the workplace, shared by LinkedIn News India

    View profile for Isha Juneja

    Founder ContraVault AI | Ex-UltraPawz (acquired) | Ex-Microsoft | Ex-Natwest | XLRI Jamshedpur | NSIT

Recently, LinkedIn News India (LinkedIn's Official News Channel for India) & Preethi Ramamoorthy featured my thoughts on gender parity at work in their Daily Rundown. This is truly one of the topics closest to my heart and one that drives me towards being better at what I do, everyday. While the statistics on women’s representation in formal jobs and leadership roles remain sobering, I firmly believe we’re witnessing a shift. Here’s why: 1. Rising Numbers: Women now constitute approximately 43% of entrepreneurs worldwide, reflecting a significant increase in female participation in business ownership. 2. Support Networks: The number of women-led venture capital funds is on the rise. In 2023, women-led VC firms accounted for over 3% of the $107 billion raised globally, up from 1.9% in 2022. 3. Increased Participation: Women now own approximately 20% of all enterprises in India, totalling between 13.5 to 15.7 million businesses. These ventures provide direct employment to around 22 to 27 million people. 4. Increased Visibility: Platforms like LinkedIn and media outlets are highlighting the achievements of women entrepreneurs, fostering a supportive community and inspiring future leaders. (This post is a case in point! :) ) The only thing I would ask of the founder community is to be more open to female founders. It is natural that it takes time for an under-represented part of the community to gradually rise to balance. After all - it needs everyone’s assistance and attention not just that of the female founder community, to bring this balance about. • 2024 in a nutshell from our founder - Isha Cheers and have a great one!

    View profile for Isha Juneja

    Founder ContraVault AI | Ex-UltraPawz (acquired) | Ex-Microsoft | Ex-Natwest | XLRI Jamshedpur | NSIT

2024 was mind-dazzling and gut-wrenching at the same time. I got married, left my older company, started a new one, got accepted and rejected across things more than I can remember Battered, bruised and better, here I am with 7 of the most important things I learnt in the past year! 1. My Wedding (the biggest highlight) - Feb 2024 is the year I was lucky enough to be married to my best friend and the best man alive - Sayan. We got married exactly 3 years after knowing each other as friends, partners and cofounders. I have learnt that a marriage takes serious effort and dedication to keep it beautiful. And if you do, everything else feeds off of this positive energy. 2. Health (Nutrition, Exercise, Mental Wellness): One thing which I have learnt better this year is to put my health first. I am proud of the fact that I have inspired people around me to take better care of their health and I have prioritised it for myself as well. Health is what sets us up for success or failure in the long run so we really need to choose wisely. 3. Culture (Work) - This is the spine for all companies and instilling the right one differentiates great companies from feeble ones. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly and one key lesson is that whether you have 1 employee or a 1000, building the right culture starts from day 1 and never, never ends. 4. Network (Building the right circle) - Everything we do at our company depends on our people. Identifying and working with the right ones is critical for long term success. This ranges from co-founders, hires, customers and investors. Like everything else, this too compounds. 5. Hard Work (Each day, everyday) - Grit is the greatest tell-tale sign which can determine whether someone succeeds or not. To succeed at building a company requires grit beyond belief - an absolute commitment to moving mountains even when everything seems to be withering away. Compound hard work and you become immovable. 6. Eliminate sooner than later (People, Things, Habits) - This year I had to take a lot of hard decisions in terms of leaving behind people, places of work, habits, & friendships. And at the end of it all - I always thought that I should have done it sooner. Take that decision quicker. Let go without fear. Your body will know when it is time. 7. Gratitude (For every ounce of it) - They say there is no love without gratitude and I could not agree more. I get to work with two most amazing partners and human beings - Sayan (my husband) and Tanmay (my brother). I get to meet amazing founders everyday, work and share my joy with my superb team, get mentored by the incredible S R Ganeshan, be supported by wonderful friends around and be nurtured by a great set of parents and in-laws. Thanks for reading on and I hope the past year has contributed to your growth in numerous ways. Congratulations on sticking it out and I hope we all see the light in the coming year. Cheers!
