Education Administration Programs
We are a future-oriented technology education program for gymnasium level pupils. Powered by Riesenkampff Foundation!
About us
codesters.club a Digital Product Development program started by the Riesenkampff Foundation in order to provide future-oriented technology education for gymnasium level pupils in Estonia. We unite the best of both, business and academia and offer technology classes in cooperation with local schools. As opposed to regular coding schools, codesters.club focuses not on teaching a particular programming language, but on training a combination of soft and technical skills needed to deliver digital products that users would love. That means that during the three year program our pupils will have a chance to try out the shoes of a UX designer, front-end and back-end developer, project manager and understand which role they feel best in.

10th grade codesters.club visit to Pipedrive in Tartu Our 10th-grade codesters.club students from Tartu Jaan Poska Gümnaasium recently had the opportunity to visit the Pipedrive office in Tartu. Thanks to Mykhailo Dorokhov, who organized everything in advance, we were given a tour by his colleague, who walked us through the company and its work. The students were engaged and curious, asking questions throughout the visit. It was a great chance for them to see how a tech company operates and learn more about the industry. Thanks to Pipedrive for hosting us!

Codesters Club 10th graders had an inspiring day at Thorgate! Students from Tallinna Mustamäe Gümnaasium, Tallinna Tehnikagümnaasium, and Tallinna Ühisgümnaasium got an exciting behind-the-scenes look at Thorgate's office and company culture. They discovered what makes Thorgate a unique place to work: 🔸 Flexibility to work remotely, with a few office days each week to keep social skills sharp. 🔸 Endless career opportunities in IT — not just for developers but also for HR, marketing, sales, and more! 🔸 A culture of independence — no micromanaging, just trust and ownership. 🔸 Strong, clear values as a team that create a welcoming and productive work environment. 🔸 A mid-sized team with a diverse set of products and services in the market. From GateMe to Waybiller, Thorgate continues to build success stories, with Waybiller emerging as a market leader. 🔸 Early investments and support for SaaS startups, showcasing Thorgate’s forward-thinking approach. Students talked with the founder Raido Pikkar and learnt that: “Not everyone needs to be — or is suited to being — an entrepreneur or a manager, and that’s perfectly okay!” Kert Kaspar Tammaru shared an inspiring journey of building a SaaS product through the story of Waybiller — from market research and MVP to launching, growing a company, and scaling up. The day wrapped up with a hands-on workshop where students brainstormed creative ideas and presented them in front of an awesome jury! In addition, Thorgate's involvement in the broader tech community, such as organizing the upcoming PyCon Conference. Big thanks to Grete Kungla for the warm welcome, Johan Viirok and Kreete Mi Rand for being fantastic jury members, José Prieto for making this event happen and Yana Delyukina, Marten Vooro for helping. Our students left with fresh ideas, new skills, and tons of inspiration!

This week, we had the incredible opportunity to meet with educators from Japan as part of the Next Innovation initiative. Their mission? To create new opportunities between Estonia and Japan by connecting people and cultures through learning from each other. As part of their visit, they attended codesters.club lessons to see firsthand how we introduce coding and technology to young minds. Our mentor and curriculum lead José Prieto had a great discussion with the Next Innovation team, presenting our program, curriculum, and teaching methods. It’s inspiring to see such global interest in IT education, and we’re always happy to share our expertise to help bring these opportunities to more students worldwide! The future of education is built on collaboration, and we’re excited to be part of it!

Last week our curriculum lead and mentor José Prieto attended the Informaatika õpetamise konverents 2025 organized by the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science in the Delta building. He had the chance to join 3 workshops: #1 A very good teacher version 2.0: let's discuss and innovate – Mirjam Paales (University of Tartu). Had a great discussion about the key competencies for being a fantastic teacher. It was awesome to see how things like empathy, openness, being ready to learn, and grading based on development rather than just results came up as key takeaways for most of the participants. #2 KOIT – programming learning materials with automated feedback and teacher panel – Kevin Akkermann. Got to try out a new self-learning programming platform. It was really interesting to explore and provide some feedback. #3 Student's digital competence: what and how would you like to measure? – Iiris Tuvi, Margus Pedaste, Tauno Palts (Tartu Ülikool). Such an insightful discussion on the digital competencies which are crucial for the next generation: digital wellbeing, AI-driven learning, digital waste, and awareness were among the most mentioned topics. The conference was a valuable experience, offering fresh insights, practical tools, and inspiring discussions with fellow informatics educators 👏

Our students from Narva Gümnaasium had an awesome trip to Tallinn to visit CM Games and chat with their founder Vlad Rannik. Here’s what they discovered: ✨ Vlad shared how he went from being a one-man show to leading a team of nearly a hundred, building and launching ground-breaking mobile, VR, and PC games enjoyed by over 500 million players, all while Creative Mobile remained self-funded and owned by its original founders. ✨ He talked about how AI has boosted his productivity and encouraged everyone to experiment and build on their own, especially using what they’ve learned at #codestersclub. ✨ Students got the inside story on game publishing, the costs of releasing games on Steam, and company roles 👀 Big thanks to Vlad for the inspiring session! Our students left with tons of motivation and ideas to explore. 🚀 Special thanks to our mentors José Prieto and Nikita Podkopaev for making this trip smooth 💚 #digitalproductdevelopment #studentslife #tech

Codesters Club mentors Yana Delyukina and Liudmyla Mishchenko recently attended a masterclass to sharpen their skills in mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs. They discovered that there isn’t much difference between mentoring high school students with project ideas and those just starting their entrepreneurial journey. When someone has a great idea, they face similar challenges and often make the same mistakes. Our role is to make their journey a little smoother and help turn those ideas into reality. Thanks to Garage48, Eesti Pagulasabi, Swedbank, Eesti Ettevõtlike Naiste Assotsiatsioon, and OBJEKT for making this masterclass possible!

What a week it was last week! Our mentors Yana Delyukina and Ilya Vasilyev flew to Ireland to participate in the #Learnovation Summit in Dublin, showcasing the Codesters Club program alongside other projects participating in the #digitaleducationhub #accelerator. It's always exciting to learn about education and meet teams you can relate to. For example, it was a pleasure to meet with the STEAM Academy team and discuss their approaches to integrating robotics and programming. We exchanged ideas on how to expand into different markets and what the future of IT education holds.
