During our 'Nonprofits Making a Difference Mableton Bus Tour', CCF fundholders and friends got a firsthand look at the incredible work happening at The SAE School. Among the highlights? Meeting these talented students from SAE’s robotics program—the only all-female African American drive team in Georgia’s FTC Robotics competition! Located in Mableton, Georgia, The SAE School is a Science, Art, and Entrepreneurship-focused institution serving approximately 400 students—95% of whom are minorities. 🏡 𝐀 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 More than 500 students in Marietta City Schools are unhoused, and many of them struggle to focus on education while facing the daily uncertainty of where they will sleep at night. But change is coming. 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞, a first-of-its-kind tiny home community in Marietta, will provide 15 families with the transitional housing they need to move from survival mode to stability. Thanks to the vision and determination of Molly Holm, this initiative is turning an industrial space into a safe, supportive environment for families in need. This project isn’t just about housing—it’s about hope. It’s about proving that innovative solutions 𝑐𝑎𝑛 work. Hawkins from the Aviation History & Technology Center, one of six incredible professionals taking part in the Certified Nonprofit Program (CNP)! 🌟 In partnership with Kennesaw State University (KSU) and United Way of Greater Atlanta, this Cobb Community Foundation (CCF) grant empowers leaders with a nationally recognized credential in nonprofit management, equipping them with cutting-edge strategies to drive real impact. Because nonprofits need to be run just as efficiently as businesses—but often without the same resources or funding. Each participant’s organization will receive a $5,000 grant as well. 🚀 The journey began on Monday, January 27, and will culminate in July, at a celebratory luncheon hosted by KSU!
