Congratulations to our friend, Bárbara Rivera Holmes, who was sworn in as Georgia's new Labor Commissioner! In addition to being an economic development expert from her time as president of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, Bárbara will also be Georgia's first Latina Constitutional Officer. Barriers to global trade have the potential to harm farmers, manufacturers, and small businesses in every corner of Georgia. The Georgia Chamber and our Global Business Subcommittee will monitor the impacts any tariffs have on Georgians, while sharing best-practices and up-to-date information for our members. For more than 110 years, the Georgia Chamber has advocated for free and competitive trade. We remain resolute in our commitment, and we will continue working with our partners in Washington D.C., including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Georgia’s Congressional delegation, to advance the bipartisan trade policies that are so critical to Georgia’s record-breaking economic success.

This meaningful piece of legislation will protect Georgia’s courts from hostile foreign actors and out-of-state forces that care more about jackpots than justice. Hyundai Metaplant continues to set new records as Georgia's largest economic development project. Yesterday, Governor Brian Kemp announced Hyundai is doubling its investment in Georgia to 12 billion and increasing vehicle output by an incredible 66 percent to 500,000 vehicles annually. With this new announcement, Georgia is now the unquestioned leader in advanced EV manufacturing. In 1933, the Macon Junior Chamber of Commerce formally started the process of creating Georgia's first National Park and Preserve.
