Some insights from one of our co-founders on how we use biologically inspired processes to advance our AI innovation.
Many years ago, I read one of the most insightful books on human psychology: Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. It's a must-read if you're interested in understanding how our minds work (you can find it here https://lnkd.in/gYvWatiq). At Cicerai , we've always recognized the power of the two operational modes of the human brain. Kahneman's work distinguishes between System 1, which is fast and intuitive but can be prone to biases , and System 2, which is slower, more deliberate, and capable of deep analytical thought . This distinction is crucial in understanding how we process information and make decisions. Recently, GPT-o1 has brought attention to the concept of emulating a System 2-like approach in AI—a move towards creating a synthetic version of this biologically inspired process. However, even before this development, we at Cicerai had already integrated a reflection mode into our AI platform. Our approach involves providing an initial, intuitive response and then engaging in a step-by-step analysis, validating data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability. We are firm believers in biologically inspired innovations within the AI space. Human intelligence has been honed over millions of years, offering a blueprint for building more sophisticated and reliable artificial intelligence. There’s still so much to learn from the processes that underpin human cognition, and we're excited to incorporate these principles into our latest advancements at Cicerai.
