Yesterday, we celebrated our 2024-2025 Culinary High School Scholars with a special luncheon hosted at The Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical College. We’re incredibly proud of these students who have gained hands-on training and valuable exposure to the culinary industry through mentorship, enhanced classroom experiences led by chefs and industry professionals, and a week-long paid externship under the guidance of some of the country’s top culinary talent.
The CHSWF Culinary Scholars Program impacts over 1,000 students across 9 schools, offering 500+ hours of hands-on training, mentorship, and paid externships. These students develop job-ready skills, build important networks, and earn hours toward certification programs like ProStart.
If you joined us for #CHSWF25 - your ticket not only supported our culinary community, but also benefited the CHSWF Culinary + Hospitality Fund, fueling Charleston’s diverse food and beverage community on the national stage.
Eat, Drink, Do Good — together, we’re helping to create a sustainable, vibrant, and connected culinary and hospitality scene.
