The Chimes team is feeling inspired while attending the ANCOR Connect 2025 Conference in San Diego. It is exciting to be learning from and connecting with leaders in the I/DD space to chart a course for the future of this important industry and the people we support. We have enjoyed interacting with our friends at Kibu, who we are partnering with to implement their game-changing technology platform that is transforming our day program offerings and data tracking at Chimes.

April 2nd marks Autism Awareness Day in the midst of Autism Acceptance Month. Chimes Holcomb was honored to take part in Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association Day at the Pennsylvania State Capitol on Wednesday, March 26. It was an honor to connect with congressional representatives in PA to share with them the important support services we provide and talk about how we can work together to better serve the community. #RCPADay25

It was a busy week for Chimes' Advisory Councils with visits with policymakers and meetings throughout several states where we provide supports and services. We are grateful for the perspective and dedication our amazing Advisory Council members bring to their important roles with Chimes!

Chimes School's Got Talent! Last Friday our students at The Chimes School showcased their dance, musical and performance skills in our Talent Show! There was a diverse mix of performers and it was really fun to see a new side of many of our students. Thank you to everyone who came out to take in the show and support our students!

Shamrocks, Pots O' Gold and plenty of festive happenings were seen across our day programs today. Happy St. Patrick's Day to All from Chimes!

Earlier this week, our CEO Steve DaRe joined Maryland Association of Community Services CEO Laura Howell on Midday Maryland on WMAR-2 News Baltimore to discuss Maryland's leadership in supporting people with disabilities during Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Laura and Steve shared information about the amazing things people with disabilities are achieving in Maryland and across the country with the support of organizations like Chimes and MACS. They also touched on budget challenges that states like Maryland are facing and how that could impact people with disabilities, their families and the community. Chimes is proud to be one of the longest serving and largest providers of services and support for people with disabilities in our region. On International Women’s Day, we take a moment to reflect upon the founder of Chimes, Frances Bacon. Her efforts to advocate for people with disabilities by starting a program for a handful of children at the Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore over 75 years ago continue to inspire us to this day. We are grateful to ALL the strong women leaders at Chimes that carry on her legacy. #DisabilityAwarenessMonth #WomensHistoryMonth #InternationalWomensDay25

Yesterday, our team at Chimes Delaware took part in Inclusion Day, organized by Special Olympics Delaware (SODE)! Thank you to the Special Olympics for spearheading this campaign to recognize that our choice of language reflects how we treat others.
