  • Our team is still buzzing from our last Tune In & Tune Up event with Valley CAN —and what a kickoff it was! 🎉 We had over 75 test drives and rides, with the Ford Mustang Mach-E as the crowd favorite. Attendees also had the chance to explore a full lineup of new and used EVs and plug-in hybrids, including the Chevy Bolt EV, Toyota bZ4X, Honda Clarity, and more! Special thanks to Electrify America for supporting this and to our partners at Valley CAN, students from California State University, Fresno, and the local Central Valley community for making it all possible. This is just the beginning—stay tuned for more events in the region as we continue to bring hands-on EV experiences to communities! #TuneInTuneUp #ValleyCAN #DriveElectric #CentralValley #EVEducation #CleanTransportation #ElectrifyAmerica

CEO, Founder of Climatebase & SF Climate Week (April 19-27, 2025) 🌎 Building community to accelerate climate solutions 💪

AL GORE is coming to SF Climate Week!! 🎉 I are honored to announce that former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore will deliver the keynote speech at the Welcome Ceremony of SF Climate Week 2025. Late last year, when my incredible colleague Lyla Warren asked me to create a wish list of keynote speakers for our Welcome Ceremony, Al Gore topped that list—not necessarily because I expected we’d land him so soon, but because I’ve always deeply believed in aiming high, even when a goal feels slightly out of reach. Seeing this happen—Al Gore actually joining us—is surreal, humbling, and deeply inspiring. Al Gore's participation at SF Climate Week is especially meaningful and thematic. He’s courageously called out uncomfortable, inconvenient truths—like how traditional climate conferences, including COP, are often co-opted by fossil fuel interests. His boldness aligns perfectly with our vision for SF Climate Week: a truly community-powered event where the interests of the people—not oil companies—take center stage. Unlike typical conferences —which tend to be expensive, exclusive, and insider-oriented— SF Climate Week is radically inclusive. While our team at Climatebase hosts the Welcome Ceremony and a handful of other events, the vast majority of the nearly 500 events are led entirely by the broader community—democratizing opportunities for climate action and making engagement accessible to all. Personally, this moment brings my journey full circle. I vividly remember watching An Inconvenient Truth as a kid with my parents, deeply shaken by Al Gore’s message. Back then, I believed that world leaders alone would handle the climate crisis. Today, we know better. Real climate leadership emerges from the ground up—when communities rally together, break silos, and take collective action. That’s exactly the spirit behind SF Climate Week. Al Gore's keynote amplifies SF Climate Week’s role as a lightning rod for collective action, bold ideas, and community-building at a time when the world feels profoundly divided, distracted, and overwhelmed. Gatherings like this offer a rare space for people to forge meaningful connections and generate the momentum we need to accelerate climate solutions—together. HUGE thanks and congratulations to Morgan Campbell, Lyla Warren, and our entire Climatebase team for making monumental moments like this happen. Welcome Ceremony will take place: • Monday, April 21, from 4 PM -7 PM • Venue: The Exploratorium Important Note: 🔹 Spots at Welcome Ceremony are extremely limited. We encourage anyone interested to apply to attend, but please note that registering does not guarantee a spot. 🔹 However, we’re excited to offer a limited number of guaranteed spots at the Welcome Ceremony to individuals selected at random. To enter the drawing for one of these guaranteed spots, simply reshare this post on LinkedIn. I hope to see you there! 🌎🎉 #climate #sustainability

We’re proud to announce a $7.4+ million investment in 11 organizations throughout the U.S. This funding supports zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) education, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) workforce development, and expanded access to electric transportation in low-income and disadvantaged communities, helping individuals and families embrace the economic and environmental benefits of electric vehicles (EVs). Since 2018, Electrify America has worked closely with organizations to deliver tangible benefits to communities, from improving air quality to reducing barriers to ZEV adoption. Previous programs have significantly increased ZEV awareness and adoption rates, bringing EV transportation options to underserved areas.
