Chaco Culture Conservancy is seeking new board members! 🤝 We are looking for individuals who care deeply about Chaco Culture National Historical Park and Aztec Ruins National Monument. Our primary responsibility is to raise money to support important park projects that would otherwise not have funding. We are a hands-on board, and members will be actively involved in committee work and events, in addition to board meetings. Specific needs are: a New Mexico licensed attorney, an archaeologist, locals who can participate in events in the Farmington, Santa Fe, Albuquerque area, experienced fundraisers with contacts to potential donors, marketing expertise, technical expertise (website, social media, donor tracking and mailing software). If you are interested, please submit your name, email address, phone number and a short explanation of why you are interested to president@chacoculture.org. . NPS Photos / Jamie Peters

Today is Giving Tuesday! In celebration, we are matching your donations dollar for dollar until December 6th! Make your donations go further this year by visiting www.chacoculture.org to contribute to our Giving Tuesday campaign. This year, the Chaco Culture Conservancy is using Giving Tuesday to fundraise for a very special project happening now at Chaco Culture National Historical Park. From now until December 6th, we will be raising funds to support 3D LiDaR scanning of great house site Pueblo del Arroyo. Pueblo del Arroyo is one of the most visited great house sites within Chaco Culture National Historical Park. It offers beautiful examples of the emblematic Chacoan style architecture, is home to the only tri-walled kiva uncovered in the canyon, and hosts spectacular views of the surrounding canyon and South Gap. Pueblo del Arroyo also sits dangerously close to the Chaco Wash, and in fact has already been affected by flooding events causing erosion to the site. Climate change and its potential impacts, like increased flooding, mean that the National Park Service must act quickly to record sites like Pueblo del Arroyo. In 2022, your dollars supported a pilot 3D scanning project at Pueblo Bonito. The project was so successful that using LiDaR 3D scanning as a preservation tool has become the first step in documentation at these parks. Now, Chaco Culture National Historical Park once again needs your help! So far, the project of scanning Pueblo del Arroyo has been hugely successful, but 60 rooms remain unscanned and at high risk of erosion. This is where you come in. The Chaco Culture Conservancy is now raising $20,000 to fund another part of this crucial project. Will you help ensure that this irreplaceable building is preserved by making a donation to the CCC today? Visit www.chacoculture.org to make your gift now!

🔔 Merry Christmas in July 🔔 Is anyone else wishing for the cooler temps of December? For many non-profits, summer doesn't just bring extreme weather. Often, it also means a dip in support and donations. To meet our fundraising goals in 2024, we desperately need your help! The CCC relies on gifts from donors like you to fund important projects around the parks. This year, the Conservancy approved $18,000 worth of funding for park projects, a significant decrease from previous years! A gift today can ensure that the CCC is able to approve more projects in 2025! The preservation of these irreplaceable parks depends on it. Will you support our mission by making a gift today? To donate, click the link in our bio, visit chacoculture.org/donate, or check out our fundraiser on Facebook. Thank you for your continued support of the Chaco Culture Conservancy .
