#Atlantis is now Caribbean-plate, Cocos-plate, several microplates beneath central America, the city itself is buried on the Yucatan peninsula, beneath millions tonnes limestone, currently referred to as "Chicxulub-crater"... https://lnkd.in/e4n7sf-R "Clad in scuba gear, edging through narrow tunnels, researchers discovered the stone ruins of eleven sacred temples"... ...highly edited, removing any mentions of "pyramids", but these female archaeologists found columns, buildings, roads, in caves, underwater, roads going nowhere... In our pursuit of serenity and connection, we stand at a critical junction of awe and reflection. How does one balance the allure of untouched landscapes with the deep-seated desire to truly commune with nature? The age-old sanctuaries of the natural world have now become the havens that beckon today's explorers. Yet, in this transition, have we sacrificed authentic immersion for ease? Genuine discovery for neatly planned excursions? Define the essence of "nature tours" in an age where convenience often overshadows experience. How might we journey through the pristine wilderness in ways that honor its beauty and mystery, creating visceral bonds that are both lasting and profound, and perhaps the stories that we can tell our kids and grandkids? Perhaps the heart of genuine exploration doesn't reside merely in the landmarks but in the spontaneous moments—the unexpected encounters, the uncharted trails where true wonder is unearthed. Be open to the unexpected. Therein sits the heart of true adventure. As we weave our journeys, solo and collective, through nature's grand tapestry.
