We always enjoy seeing our finished projects but it’s even better as part of a group event – thank you A4LE Oregon / SW Washington Chapter! Center Pointe was thrilled to fabricate the wayfinding package, and work with Portland Public Schools, Bassetti Architects and Andersen Construction on this great project. We’re also happy for the students who get to learn and thrive in these thoughtfully renovated spaces!

Reflecting on an incredible event last week! As a member of the SMPS Oregon Chapter JEDI Committee, it was a pleasure to help organize and attend the 2025 Inclusive Partnership Mixer on March 11. Held at the US Bancorp Tower (Big Pink), the event brought together an amazing group of industry professionals, including DMWESB-Certified, Self-Certified, and BIPOC-led firms, all focused on building meaningful connections and future collaborations. In a time of great uncertainty for DEI and other programs that work to lift up historically marginalized communities, it was heartwarming to see a room so filled with those still committed to these efforts. Center Pointe’s in-house designers enjoy full access to our shop resources and fabrication team, enhancing the creative process as they explore how best to express design concepts through materials and assemblies. One huge benefit: early and efficient prototyping. Our client just approved this one, expressing a textural interplay of stone and water, as we’re wrapping up Schematic Design! (We’ll share more on this project in a future post)
