CVI is incredibly grateful to our community of supporters for answering our call for help and keeping local Veterans housed. This is what community coming together looks like, and we want to share details on this outstanding outcome for our Veterans who were facing homelessness: 🔹 The Guest House of Milwaukee adopted 10 leases. Special thanks to Steve Bauer, Keonna Munoz, and Elicia Mosby for helping these Veterans stay in their homes. 🔹 Project Bridge adopted 6 leases, assuring these Veterans that they will not have to move (thank you, Matt Raymond). 🔹 Thanks to Tayna Puyleart and Marybeth Kurzynske, Cardinal Capital Management Inc / Veterans Manor adopted 4 leases. 🔹 Three Veterans assumed their leases through the above-and-beyond efforts of CVI case worker Beth Kroening to guide them in acquiring additional financial support. 🔹 Two Veterans are transitioning into senior living communities, and two Veterans voluntarily moved out of their current homes to pursue other living opportunities. 🔹 We continue to work with the one remaining Veteran to identify what options and support CVI can provide. 🔹 We also owe a debt of gratitude to Quentin Hatfield and Wisconsin Veterans Network for assisting the Veterans with sundry items and moving expenses. 💙 Finally, we must give special recognition and express our immense gratitude to individual donors who did not hesitate to step up and go the extra mile for our Veterans: Joshua Kubasiak, Dr. Susan Schrank, Mary Fulton, Evan T. Arnold, Dan Carey, and Zach Kaiser. CVI could not complete its mission without the generous support of our partners and donors. You guys ROCK! #CVIVets #Veterans #HousingStability #CommunityImpact #SupportOurVets

Thanks to the generous donation of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of Wisconsin and VFW Auxiliary membership, CVI could purchase a new courtesy van! The van will shuttle Veterans between the Soldiers' Home and the Zablocki Center for various appointments. Additionally, it will support CVI’s mission of providing services to Veterans enrolled in numerous VA & HUD programs offered by CVI throughout Wisconsin. CVI sincerely appreciates the VFW and Auxiliary members for their generous donations and ongoing service to our Veterans. #CVIVets #VFW #VFWAuxiliary #SupportOurVeterans #CommunitySupport #VeteranServices

On April 9th, we pause to honor the strength and sacrifice of former prisoners of war—those who endured unimaginable hardship, spending days, months, and even years in captivity. In their absence, they missed cherished milestones and quiet moments with loved ones—but they were never forgotten. Their courage reminds us of the true cost of freedom. As we reflect on their sacrifices, we reaffirm our commitment to support them, their families, and all Veterans with the same dedication they showed in serving our nation. #CVIVets #FormerPOWRecognitionDay #HonorOurPatriots #POW
