🤩 Thank you, Luis Quinones, MSW! We look forward working with you and the team at HOPICS (SPA 6) through this journey as part of the IAHH initiative! — 💡 To learn more about the Innovation Accelerator: Housing and Health (IAHH) initiative, check out https://lnkd.in/gPEN43E6 🔗 And subscribe to the learning community for quarterly updates! https://lnkd.in/gvMYnHJp — #housingandhealth #healthcareaccess #homelessnesssolutions #innovationaccelerator #SSGhopics Cedars-Sinai
Here at HOPICS (SPA 6) we’re excited to soon launch the Innovation Accelerator: Housing and Health—a new initiative funded by Cedars-Sinai and led by the Center for Care Innovations to make medical, mental health, and substance use treatment more accessible across the homeless services continuum. I am excited to lead the implementation of this project at our HOPICS site. Unlike traditional models, the Innovation Accelerator is not about a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, it supports six teams pioneering diverse strategies—from street medicine to co-located healthcare in shelters and housing—to bridge the gap between healthcare and homelessness services. At SSG HOPICS, we are leading efforts to co-locate medical services on-site at interim housing in partnership with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our goal is simple but critical: improve access to care for clients in interim housing and enhance their readiness for the transition to permanent housing. By integrating healthcare where it’s needed most, we are taking meaningful steps to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring. Excited to collaborate with incredible partners on this journey! #HousingAndHealth #HealthcareAccess #HomelessnessSolutions #InnovationAccelerator #SSGHOPICS #CedarsSinai #CenterForCareInnovations

ICYMI: We hosted the first installment of CCI and Health AI Partnership's new webinar series, "AI in Action: Practical Applications for Safety Net Providers." We had a great conversation about responsible AI deployment, and we're excited to share the recording and slides with you. Whether you attended live or couldn't make it, you'll find everything you need to catch up and dive deeper: https://lnkd.in/gHhaFUj2 🔑 KEY CONCLUSIONS from Yasir Tarabichi, MD, MSCR, FAMIA, Chief Health AI Officer at The MetroHealth System (Cleveland, OH): — People and process are more important than tech. Informaticists, implementation scientists, and quality leaders live this. — The true local impact of a model can only be realized when implemented (i.e. rubber meets the road). — With effective EHR utilization and oversight, randomized Ql interventions can efficiently and objectively inform local process improvement. — Local governance cannot be outsourced. — Improving the quality of data at the source + interoperability could be the most impactful way forward for federated Al assurance (regardless of approach). — Mature tooling, coupled with more analytically savvy clinical informaticists can go a long way to scaling Al solutions to all settings, regardless of resources.
