Special Project Manager at Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care Systems (HOPICS)

Here at HOPICS (SPA 6) we’re excited to soon launch the Innovation Accelerator: Housing and Health—a new initiative funded by Cedars-Sinai and led by the Center for Care Innovations to make medical, mental health, and substance use treatment more accessible across the homeless services continuum. I am excited to lead the implementation of this project at our HOPICS site. Unlike traditional models, the Innovation Accelerator is not about a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, it supports six teams pioneering diverse strategies—from street medicine to co-located healthcare in shelters and housing—to bridge the gap between healthcare and homelessness services. At SSG HOPICS, we are leading efforts to co-locate medical services on-site at interim housing in partnership with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our goal is simple but critical: improve access to care for clients in interim housing and enhance their readiness for the transition to permanent housing. By integrating healthcare where it’s needed most, we are taking meaningful steps to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring. Excited to collaborate with incredible partners on this journey! #HousingAndHealth #HealthcareAccess #HomelessnessSolutions #InnovationAccelerator #SSGHOPICS #CedarsSinai #CenterForCareInnovations
