Yesterday, Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union officially broke ground on their corporate headquarters in the heart of downtown Columbia. It was great to hear and witness the leadership, vision, and dedication that have gone into planning this project. Speakers included including Governor Henry McMaster, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Richland County Council Chair Jesica Johnson Mackey, and Columbia Chamber's Susan Vaughan McPherson. Even more exciting is seeing a locally rooted credit union like Palmetto Citizens further invest in and strengthen their presence in our capital city.

Great being in the building last week to thank #NCrepresentatives for the passage of HB 187! Looking forward to carrying this momentum in the Senate!

Thank you to SECU for hosting the #CCULAdvocacy team in Raleigh last week. The Advocacy team joined SECU leadership to host a webinar on the importance of the credit union model and tax status. We appreciate the leadership and dedication to preserving the credit union model and advocacy for the credit union tax status.

This is great! With Governor DeSantis recently signing this into law in Florida, and now Wyoming and 28 other states - South Carolina's turn to pass legislation allow local government the CHOICE to use their LOCAL credit unions!
