April is Volunteer Month, and we are featuring some of our amazing employees who volunteer their time and talent to make our communities better places to live and work. Meet Brad Gregus, the team lead of the mechanical engineering group in BWXT’s Peterborough, Ontario facility, where he’s been since 2021. He has been a proud Peterborough resident for 14 years. Brad discovered his love of volunteering when he began coaching youth sports in high school. Over the years, he has continued pursuing his passion for supporting youth development through STEM education by volunteering to judge science fairs and presenting at his son’s school. Brad takes full advantage of opportunities to help local schools support children interested in STEM.

BWXT took to the track literally and figuratively at the Cook Out 400 in Martinsville, Virginia. Our company logo was placed on the hood of the No. 6 Build Submarines Ford, driven by Brad Keselowski. We had employees meeting and greeting with the team, plus Blue Forge Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting careers in the submarine industrial base through www.BuildSubmarines.com. In the spirit of career opportunities, we also had our own recruiters hard at work connecting with race attendees. Overall, it was a great day to support manufacturing and motor sports!
