🚀 For a Project Out of This World, You Need a Production Truck to Match 🚚   This week, we wrapped up a large and complex nine-day project in West Texas. It featured an exciting live broadcast with 37 cameras, including six drones! We had to bring in some serious horsepower to bring this project to life.   To establish the core of our video village on-site, 30 miles from the nearest civilization, we brought in three production trucks (two of which were expandos), a mobile stage, and multiple generators. The centerpiece of our setup was the NEP Group, Inc. Denali truck, featuring the A unit with 60 feet of pure production power, top-notch gear, and an incredible crew.   Inside the Denali truck, we had: - 2 Audio Engineers - Communications Engineer - 3 Producers - Producer, Director, and Assistant Director - Technical Director - Teleprompter Operator - Exec in Charge of Production - 2 Graphics Operators - 2 EVS Operators - 2 Robo Ops - 2 Video Engineers - Truck EIC BMG also brought in its own technical firepower to handle all remote live shots, including LiveU encoders and decoders, fiber connections to cover long distances, RTS Intercom Systems for wireless communication, Unity, a lighting grip truck, and transmission equipment, among other gear. We set up our equipment racks in the B unit and seamlessly integrated them with the A unit. In addition to the main live broadcast, BMG also provided dedicated feeds for the press and managed robotic cameras during the press conference. BMG is on-site in West Texas preparing for one of our most exciting and historic projects so far this year: Blue Origin's NS-31 mission, featuring an all-female crew launching from Launch Site One. We're hard at work today, building a full-scale video village in this remote location—30 miles from the closest town—all in preparation for launch day in T-minus 6 days. The scale of this production is massive: a crew of over 60+, 35+ cameras, 6 drones, 5 production trucks, a custom-built stage, and miles of cable connecting it all. Despite the logistical challenges of a remote desert broadcast, BMG has both the cutting-edge technology and an experienced team to execute flawlessly.
