About us
Bridging The Gap works to make the Kansas City region sustainable by connecting environment, economy and community with the help of 1,500 volunteers annually. The Kansas City Parrot Head Club recently did a fundraiser on our behalf and dropped the check off personally. The purpose of the club is to assist in community concerns and provide a variety of social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies. In the past two years the Kansas City chapter has raised over $10,000 for local charities and worked almost 825 hours of community service. Thanks so much y'all! 🦜

A couple weeks back our KC WildLands team helped facilitate a prescribed burn at Jerry Smith Prairie. A prescribed burn, also known as a controlled burn, is the intentional setting of a fire under specific conditions to manage vegetation and reduce wildfire risk, while also promoting ecological health and wildlife habitat.
