Where there's good, there's hope.

About us

Hope is more than just a wish for things to change. It’s an expectation for better things to come and a belief that each of us has the ability to make an impact. It takes the strength of a united community to dismantle inequality and enact change for a better tomorrow. Founded in 2018, KC Common Good is addressing the root causes of violence to instill hope and ensure a successful future for every individual in the greater Kansas City region. Our mission is to create an environment where all citizens can live safely and have access to real opportunities. We’re conveners and connectors, bringing together the business community, engaged citizens, community resources and key stakeholders to make an investment in societal change for our common good. We’re intermediaries who believe that the power of many creates more change than the power of a few. We’ve all been touched by violence. It’s time to change mindsets—from a place of apathy to a place of empathy. It’s time to build our community from within. It’s time to extend a hand to lift up the most vulnerable within our communities. Hope inspires change. By wrapping our arms around those who need our support the most, we stand united against violence while we work for good. Because where there’s good, there’s hope.

  • Kansas City is home to INCREDIBLE organizations working to improve the lives of our youth! This week’s featured youth organization is The Hope Center. The Center invests in Kansas City’s east side through programs and events that cater to and support young people. This year, the Hope Center hopes to: 1. Provide unique opportunities and developmental programming for K-12 students to build their personal assets and interpersonal skills. 2. Begin construction on attainable housing. 3.Provide a new venue for education, inspiration, innovation, and networking for our community, neighbors, and the city. We are grateful for The Hope Center’s work in Kansas City. Here’s to many more years of transformational work in the lives of our city’s youth! #kcmo #thehopecenterkc #kansascity #kc #yearoftheyouth #kccommongood
