Huge thanks to AEF – Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation and Topcon Agriculture for hosting such a valuable event focused on cross-manufacturer compatibility, data interoperability, and the future of autonomy in agriculture. At Bonsai Robotics, we’re proud to be part of the conversations shaping the standards that will define the next generation of agtech. Standardizing how autonomous machines communicate and operate across platforms doesn’t just benefit OEMs—it accelerates adoption, improves safety, and creates a better experience for the growers and operators who rely on this tech every day. Shoutout to all the robotics providers, OEMs, AEF, and Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) for pushing this industry forward.
Successful second AEF Information Day in Livermore, California, USA The second AEF Information Day has come to a close. This year, the AEF organised it in Livermore, California, USA, on March 27, 2025, with great support from company Topcon! General Manager Norbert Schlingmann and Chairman Andrew Olliver opened the day with welcome words and an introductory background to the AEF and ISOBUS. A full room packed with curious people to learn more about the AEF organization, and the day program bringing an extremely interesting and informative agenda about compatibility and interoperability topics between cross-manufacturer equipment and online portals. Experts from the AEF project teams, the Conformance Test and the AEF ISOBUS Database, who are working on the future of standard technologies, exchanged strategic information on all aspects of compatibility and interoperability in the agricultural machinery industry. Finally, AEM introduces a strategic view of autonomous machines, data exchange and cyber security. The AEF thanked all participants and especially company Topcon for the organisation and hospitality.
