We heard many examples of Dutch Water Authorities improving #WaterResilience globally at #Aquatech yesterday. French and Greek colleagues are obviously struggling with the same issues related to #watergovernance, #finance, #publicawareness in their approach for tackling #floods & #droughts. It reinforces the approach of working in the Blue Deal - with over 250 dedicated Dutch Water Authority experts: 💦 High quality knowledge transfer 💦On the jpb & demand driven support 💦Sufficient focus on Operations & Maintenance 💦Combination of enhanced water governance with tangible field outcomes

𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙖 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 💦 ...is the theme of this compilation made for the annual water platform meeting for Colombia, organized by Partners for Water / Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development. Blue Deal InspirAgua was represented by Ellen Bollen-Weide. Water Envoy Meike van Ginneken opened the afternoon with a memory of her visit to the Yumbo wastewater treatment plant during COP16 in October: “38 years ago the Cauca River was dead, without oxygen. And now, thanks to a treatment plant like this, life is back,” she enthused. The topic of the afternoon on the 28th of January was cooperation between companies, governments, and knowledge institutions. We spoke with to us well-known organizations such as Arcadis, Deltares, FutureWater/HydroLogic, IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and Wageningen University & Research, but also with relatively new names such as Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners and SkillEd. All these Dutch organizations also cooperate on water management in Colombia. Sometimes we encounter them in our work, and that naturally provides, as they say, mutual synergy benefits. Sometimes we could also seek each other out a little more. PartnersForWater/RVO showed how it can co-finance initiatives in that area 🤝. To be continued...
