  • We are so excited to welcome Mireya Mains to our team!! Mireya says: "Hey, everyone! I am Mireya, and I am so excited to be joining the Azure Stone team! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and while working with children is my passion, I also love working with adults and I am working on my certification to work with couples as well! I am a huge believer in the holistic approach to treating mental health, and I love utilizing nature walks, mindfulness, and grounding techniques in my sessions! I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from California State University Sacramento, a Master's degree in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University, and a minor in Addiction Treatment Services from the University of Nevada, Reno. My sessions are a safe space for everyone from all types of backgrounds and I really value everyone's individuality. I utilize play therapy techniques when working with children, and I pull a lot of techniques from Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when working with teenagers/adults! In our sessions, I will utilize active listening and I will always respond through an understanding lens. I consider myself to be a warm and friendly person who will also help you to challenge yourself toward achieving your goals. Life can be full of unexpected stressors which can shock our minds and our bodies, making us feel lost, fearful, or not in control and I am here to help you find your way through these times. I believe that you, as the client, are fully capable of healing and overcoming your struggles. I am here to help you find your way along that path and to provide you a new perspective. I will check in with you throughout our sessions to make sure that our sessions are reflecting your goals for yourself. I want our sessions to be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself 100% and I value authenticity for myself as well. You are NOT alone and you ARE capable! I am here to help you realize that! A little about myself outside of therapy: I love to spend time with family and friends outside of providing therapy. I value the importance of relationships in my own life and consider myself to be a very transparent person! I love to go to the gym and I use that as an outlet! I am a certified personal trainer and I believe that fitness can be an amazing way to heal anxiety. I have two cats that I absolutely adore and I love to meet new people! I look forward to meeting you!" Contact us to schedule an appointment!

    Director of Sales

September was Suicide Prevention month, a time to bring attention to the national crisis that has become the 11th leading cause of death in the US & the 3rd leading cause for 14-30 year olds (NAMI). A cause extremely close to my heart. Myself and 2 friends (Kevin Cotter & Mikayla Glover) recently started a running group, Running for the High of it, in the wake of losing my brother as a way to encourage movement to benefit mental health. Last weekend we hosted our first 5k that brought together 180 amazing community members in Boise, Idaho and raised over $3,500 for suicide prevention efforts. We connected those in attendance to online resources (NoStigmas) & local in person help (Azure Stone Mental Health & Wellness). As I move through my career in the CPG space, I continue to be amazed at the small but supportive community. A very special thank you to my friends and generous sponsors at: happy® for providing every runner a 4-pack of their amazing cold brew cans Honey Stinger for providing every runner waffles or chews Vita Coco for donating $ and providing waters for all runners Instead of a medal at the finish, we handed out reusable canvas totes filled with the donated items. From the 17 to the 78 year old runner- everyone was so excited about the free goodies. The totes have a simple message on them, one we hope every runner/walker believes- “pace:forward” in life and in running, the best pace is forward. One step at a time. I wanted to give these brands a deserved shoutout for the good they are doing behind closed doors. Your contributions made a significant impact. It’s inspiring to see how we can come together for such a vital issue. Let’s continue to raise awareness and support each other in our community- our pace is forward.
