Your future, simplified.

About us

AVIAN (pronounced ay v yin – relating to a bird-like flying creature) is an employee-owned, service-driven company founded by retired U.S. Navy test pilots who knew that talent and passion were the key ingredients to success. We are resourceful, responsive, and reachable—delivering expertise in program, financial, and logistics management; research and development; digital engineering and traditional systems engineering; test and evaluation of crewed and uncrewed systems; workforce development and training; and communication strategy and design. Headquartered in Lexington Park, Maryland, our team spans from coast to coast, supporting the Department of Defense, including the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, and the Office of Naval Research, as well as the Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center. As employee-owners, we don’t just work here—we invest in our future. Our culture thrives on innovation, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We move fast, take risks, and refuse to settle for the status quo. We’re looking for people who share our passion for craftsmanship and customer experience—not just transactional work. At AVIAN, we don’t just provide services; we build lasting relationships.

  • Today, Tyler Sautter, Sr. Director of Business Development, and Kristen Turner, Capture Manager, built connections at the Sea- Air-Space Conference and Exposition at National Harbor in Maryland. This conference presents vital information on threats and operations, the latest advancements, and strategies for strengthening defense tactics, all delivered by industry leaders and top military decision-makers. They were able join up with members from Attollo LLC, our recent Mentor-Protégé pairing. We are beyond excited about this partnership, and were relish in every opportunity we can to connect in person with them. We are looking forward to learn about the new insights they will bring back from the conference! Pictured from left to right is Jon Putney, VP of Technology at Attollo, Tyler Sautter, Sr. Director of BD at AVIAN, and Anthony Felicio, VP of Finance at Attollo.

  • 🌎World Health Day🌎 Each year, World Health Organization (WHO) focuses on a campaign to raise awareness, advocate for effective investments, encourage support, and inform people. This year's campaign aims to promote change to end maternal and newborn deaths, while improving the mother's physical and emotional health.🤰 According to WHO, "close to 300,000 women lose their life due to pregnancy or childbirth each year, while over 2 million babies die in their first month of life and around 2 million more are stillborn" (2025). Change is needed to ensure that people are properly educated on the needs of women and babies before, during, and after birth. We can help that change by raising awareness!🌎🩷 For more information on how you can help please visit: https://loom.ly/70fDkeU

  • This past month, our Panama-City Beach office employees volunteered and donated to the 15th Annual Lucky Puppy Rescue SPAY-ghetti event.🍝🐕 The event is a luncheon to help fundraise for the "paw-some" rescues and second chances for dogs that the organization provides. This year's luncheon surpassed donations from last year, raising over $59,000, which is an event record! Way to go everyone!🐶
