Tekla was in attendance at The Mission's 6th Annual Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction. The organization works 24 hours a day / 365 days a year serving the homeless and working poor of St. Mary's County. Tekla supports The Mission each year with donations from our annual end of school year food drive. Tekla employee Paul Meissner (standing, right) is on The Mission's executive board and oversees the Kessler Center, a faith-based structured residential program for the homeless and those looking to turn their lives around. Paul was also a speaker at the event and gave the audience a glimpse into what the Kessler Center offers to help change the lives of their residents. #TeklaGivesBack #MissionGala

Tekla dropped off their Operation Backpack donations this morning to the grateful staff at Green Holly Elementary School. Tekla Communications Coordinator, Cathy Ray, and Tekla Sr. V.P., Steve Girard, flank Kelly Catterton, Green Holly Office Coordinator, and school Principal Jennifer Martin. The generosity of our employees will go a long way to help students in need get their school off to a good start. This is the fourth year Tekla has conducted this campaign and we thank you for your ongoing support. #GoGators, #TeklaGivesBack

Tekla has wrapped up its yearly signature event--our "End of School Year" Food Drive. Tekla and 9 other industry partner teams collected 3,844 pounds of food and $13,815 in cash and checks. The donations were distributed to five Pax-area food pantries and will go a long way to help restock the shelves at a time when supplies are critically low. Tekla thanks and acknowledges the leadership and employees of Avian, Eagle Systems, IPT Corp., J.F. Taylor, KAIROS, Mag Aero, ManTech, NSI, and Rollout Systems for their support and generosity.
