#TeamAvantus was in Phoenix last week for the Solar + Wind Finance & Investment Summit by Infocast. It was a packed few days connecting with project partners, investors and colleagues - new and old. During the summit, Avantus COO Stephanie Perry spoke on the panel “Tariffs and Tax Incentives: Supply Chain Consideration During Domestic Ramp-Up,” alongside Natalia (Natasha) Cherenkova from DEPCOM Power, Inc, Art Del Rio from EDF Renewables North America, Dan Shreve from Clean Energy Associates (CEA), and Phillip Vyhanek from GameChange Solar. Their discussion explored the challenges and opportunities in navigating supply chain risks amid evolving tariff and tax incentive policy conversations. Stephanie unpacked Avantus' proactive strategies, including diversifying manufacturing footprints, building collaborative partnerships, and implementing creative risk mitigation solutions to deliver affordable and reliable clean energy in an era of energy expansion.

Last week, #TeamAvantus met with County of Imperial leaders Martha Cardenas-Singh and Peggy Price at the 2025 State of the County, where clean energy was recognized for driving investment and job creation in Imperial County—a renewable energy leader. With a longstanding presence in Imperial, Avantus looks forward to continuing our collaboration with the County on projects that deliver reliable, affordable electricity to meet California’s energy demand. Last week, our new VP of Policy and Regulatory Affairs Antonia Castro- Graham hit the ground running. She joined Kevin Brokish, VP of Development for our California portfolio in Sacramento to meet with legislators and advocate for smart policies that can support the rapid expansion of clean, affordable energy across the state.

Earlier this month, #TeamAvantus joined Toyota Tsusho America (TAI) and RES at the Norton Solar Project in Runnels County, Texas to celebrate the start of module installation! 👷♂️ With construction well underway, this 159 MWdc project is creating jobs and strengthening the local economy. A huge thank you to the many men and women working hard to make this project a reality!
