  • Tesla’s got a wild ride ahead. Model Y is still crushing it in China, but U.S. and Europe? Demand's looking shaky. 😬 Analysts are saying it’s more than just factory switchovers, it’s a full-on global demand slowdown. And with all the drama around Elon, cars getting keyed, and charging stations literally on fire… yeah, people are hesitant. But here's the twist: Tesla still makes more EVs than anyone else in the U.S. and they actually make them here. So Q2 could be a turning point... or not. 👀 What do you think rebound coming or rough road ahead? #Tesla #Automotive #Autoindustry #Autonews #Cardealershiplife

  • This feels like Déjà vu... remember the dealers who had “too much” inventory at the start of COVID and suddenly struck gold? We might be there again. Vincent (Vinnie) Salvagni, CPA ✞ thinks, if demand jumps and prices climb, it won’t be about who has cars... It'll be about who has the right cars: → More affordable → Pre-tariff → Ready to roll 📉 Used cars are creeping back up in value, and for some consumers who are buried in trades... this might be the perfect window to get out clean. 👀 Dealers: Are you watching the shift? Let’s talk strategy 👇 #Automotive #Autonews #Tariffs #Carsales

  • You might be sitting on a goldmine and not even know it. Dealers collect a *lot* of data. But here’s the real question: Are you using your data, or just collecting it? It’s easy to fall into the trap of “set it and forget it.” Dashboards look nice. Reports sound important. But if it’s not driving action, it’s just noise. The best dealers are using data to: ➡️ Optimize marketing ➡️ Automate follow-ups ➡️ Discover new audiences ➡️ Improve vendor performance And they’re talking about it at ASOTU CON. Panels like: 🚗 Omnichannel Mastery 📊 Past Performance Predicts Future Behaviors 🧠 Unlocking New Audiences 🔥 Set It and Sell It Real people. Real results. Real talk. If you want to stop drowning in data and start turning it into dollars, this is where you learn how. • Episode #1009: Today we sit with COO of Matthews Auto Group Vincent Salvagni to discuss the question on every Dealer’s mind; What should I be doing with my inventory level? As consumers rush to beat tariffs, Dealers are worried about overpaying for replacement inventory and getting stuck holding the bag when things normalize. We also talk about Nissan delaying production cuts at its Smyrna, TN plant and Carvana's approach to the tariff headwinds. Nissan’s plans to cut a production shift at its Smyrna, TN plant have been reversed thanks to new U.S. tariffs on imported vehicles. The automaker is prioritizing domestic output to avoid hefty import duties. -Nissan initially planned to end a shift at Smyrna as part of a 9,000-job global cut. -Keeping U.S. production high avoids tariffs on Japanese-made Rogues, which made up over a third of 2024 U.S. Rogue sales. -Workers had already been offered buyouts; Nissan hasn’t confirmed how many accepted. -“It could mean saving jobs or it could be hiring people,” said a Nissan spokesperson. Carvana is stepping into the tariff era with confidence, positioning itself to capture increased used-car demand as new vehicle prices rise. After turbulent years marked by overestimation and investor skepticism, the company has streamlined operations and could now benefit from changing consumer habits. -New 25% tariffs on imported vehicles may steer price-conscious buyers to the used market. -Analysts expect an initial bump in used-car sales, especially from buyers priced out of new models. -Carvana has reined in costs, insourced inspections, and restructured debt, improving operational health. -Despite holding $5.6B in debt, the company is now generating enough cash to begin self-financing. -“We’re in a much stronger position than we were 3–4 years ago,” said CFO Mark Jenkins Join Paul J Daly and Kyle Mountsier as they connect the dots across car dealerships, retail trends, emerging tech like AI, and cultural shifts—bringing clarity, speed, and people-first insight to automotive leaders navigating a rapidly changing industry.

  • Good morning, Auto Fam! Today’s headlines are packed with big moves, bold bets, and some uncomfortable truths for the retail automotive world: - Ford Motor Company launches employee pricing for everyone in response to sweeping tariffs, stacking incentives through June - Lucid Motors gains traction with a 44% Q1 jump in deliveries, fueled by former Tesla owners - Stellantis pauses production in Canada and Mexico as tariff fallout begins to ripple - Global markets are reeling from the largest tariff shock in decades, with automakers bracing for impact - And yes, the Cybertruck recall fix is raising more questions than it answers Read the full ASOTU Daily Digest here 👇 #automotiveindustry #dealership #Q1

  • 🚨 Ford just made a bold move and it's a win for consumers. As newly announced tariffs threaten to drive up vehicle prices, Ford launched a preemptive strike: opening its employee discount program to everyone now through June 30th. That’s $1,000–$2,000 below invoice pricing on most Ford and Lincoln models—on top of other incentives like free EV charger installation. Why? To offer stability in an uncertain market and give back to the American communities that have supported them for generations. Ford’s not just responding to change they’re leading through it. Expect other automakers to follow fast. #Ford #Tariffs #Automotive #Autonews #Cardealership #MadeInAmerica

  • Michael Cirillo gets to the bottom of the quality vs quantity debate. Should dealers be posting 10 times a day on social? Should any of us be posting 10 times a day on social? Miranda Pyette says it's about choosing the 'right' posts. For personal brands on LinkedIn especially, Michael agrees. Watch the full conversation on The Dealer Playbook podcast.
