We are proud to announce the successful completion of a border control point in Aflau, Ghana. SO/LIC's Counter Narcotics and Stabilization Policy office worked alongside U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), interagency partners, and regional allies, to reinforce our shared priorities and strengthening security cooperation in Coastal West Africa. This initiative, made possible through Title 10 counterdrug funds, showcases our commitment to enhancing local capabilities in the fight against illicit activities. This project not only aligns with the United States Department of Defense's mission to counter drug trafficking and other threats but also supports sustainable development and stability, prevents conflict, and cultivates more robust economic and security partners in Coastal West Africa. Together, we are fostering stronger economic and security partnerships that contribute to a safer future for all.

US Navy SEAL and German Naval Special Ops Dive Training Naval Special Warfare Command - Navy SEAL & SWCC Teams provides maritime special operations capability to enable Joint Force lethality and survivability in denied and contested areas. Lethality is a United States Department of Defense priority for our warfighters. We maintain that readiness through training with our NATO Allied SOF Command and partner forces. German Naval Special Operation Force members recently conducted maritime dive operations with U.S. East Coast-based NSW operators to improve warfighting readiness as part of joint training off the coast of Key West, Florida. The rapid response of Air Force Special Operations Command's capabilities and Air Commando mobility, including the C-146 and MC-130J, are working with U.S. Army Special Operations Command Special Forces to deliver critical aid and support to our Thailand partners. SOF in the Pacific with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command maintain military readiness with our #FriendsAlliesPartners to ensure integration and timely crisis response actions.
U.S. Indo-Pacific Command military personnel continue to work alongside Thai military and first responders near the collapsed State Audit Office building in Bangkok, which fell after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake affected Thailand and it's neighboring countries on March 28, 2025. Disaster emergencies, both natural and man-made, remain an ever-present threat to life, security, stability and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific. The United States providing humanitarian assistance to our Thai allies saves lives, alleviates suffering during crises and fosters stability across the region.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the House Special Operations Forces (SOF) Caucus reception last night! It was inspiring to see so many partners in Congress come to meet our special operations warriors. Mr. Colby Jenkins, who is performing the duties of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (SO/LIC), and Gen. Bryan Fenton, Commander of USSOCOM, spoke to members of congress and congressional staff alongside the SOF Caucus co-chairs at the event. The SOF Caucus is an indispensable forum, particularly because they represent the men and women of the SOF enterprise, their families, and the communities that sustain them on Capitol Hill. They understand that our issues are your issues, and by working together, we can accomplish many great things. Looking ahead, the SO/LIC and SOCOM are excited about the opportunities to advance the SOF Enterprise. Our congressional partnership, support, and engagement are vital the SOF mission. Thank you for coming out!
