 We have an opportunity to help shape the future of our industry serving those who receive Medicare Part B benefits. Two areas are at risk and need congressional action to support the work therapists do everyday. We need to request a reversal of the Medicare Part B payment cuts that went into effect January 1, 2025, and ask for a permanent extension of telehealth authorization. Although you may not personally use telehealth, in critical situations, it has been a essential means to get patients the help and support they need to recover from an illness or injury.   DID YOU KNOW MEDICARE PART B HAS SUSTAINED A 26% PAYMENT REDUCTION OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS?? Thanks to the extension of the telehealth allowance for 3 months, the holidays just got a little happier at Arbor Rehabilitation. While we recognize that virtual visits are not the ideal, telehealth has enabled patients to start the road to recovery a little quicker in isolated cases. ADVION has launched a grassroots campaign to urge Congressional action on the soon-to-be expiring telehealth authority and to mitigate the cuts imposed by CMS' Physician Fee Schedule. They have created two template messages for you to send to your Representative and Senators. All you need to do is click the "Take Action" button below. On the right side of the screen you will see both messages, then scroll down to input your demographic information, and send it off! We do encourage you to personalize the message, as doing so will greatly increase the chances of this legislation passing, but it is not required. Take Action
