Today is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to making a difference in our communities. I want to highlight the incredible work being done by Capitol City Robotics (CCR) and its visionary founder, Ryan Daza.
Based in Washington, D.C., CCR is more than just a competitive science club—it’s a launchpad for the next generation of STEM leaders. Through hands-on robotics and drone programming, students from underrepresented communities are not only learning engineering and coding but also developing critical leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
This year alone, CCR has engaged nearly 300 students from over 60 schools, with 41% of participants identifying as female and over 50% as students of color. These young innovators are excelling in local and international robotics competitions, earning awards and recognition while preparing for success at university and beyond. By investing in these students, CCR is building the future of STEM talent right here in the nation’s capital.
On this Giving Tuesday, I encourage you to join me in supporting this worthy cause. Your donation can help provide access to robotics kits, competition fees, and scholarships for students who might otherwise not have these opportunities. Together, we can empower these young minds to dream big and achieve even bigger.

To my colleagues in the technology sector, I invite you to think about how your corporate philanthropy efforts can make a lasting impact. Supporting Capitol City Robotics is an investment in our local talent pipeline—a chance to nurture future engineers, coders, and innovators who could one day join your teams. Corporate sponsorships play a critical role in sustaining CCR’s programs and expanding their reach to more students across our nation’s capital.
If your company is interested in partnering with Capitol City Robotics or exploring sponsorship opportunities, please feel free to reach out to me directly via LinkedIn messaging.
