On the way back after a very inspiring and insightful week in Amsterdam at the Spring school on Social XR organized by the Distributed & Interactive Systems Group (DIS) | Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), featuring thought-provoking talks and great discussions around important topics related to the current state and future of social XR. I gave a talk on "Privacy, Security and UX challenges in (social) XR", linked to our work in SFI-NORCICS. Throughout the week, we also discussed various ethical and legal dilemmas and developments that are also relevant for the use of immersive technologies in different sectors, including the CCIs (our focus in AMPLIFY). ✨ KUDOS ✨ to the organizers Silvia Rossi, Irene Viola, Thomas Röggla, Omar Niamut, Pablo César and everyone who has helped to make this wonderful week-long event possible. This day last week, I landed in Leiria, Portugal to meet with the AMPLIFY technical team - we presented an overview of the work on-going at the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus for the music with babies pilot!👶In addition, I had the opportunity to meet the Artistic Director of Musicalmente, Paulo Lameiro. ✨ With a song to start, Paulo discussed the importance of connection between musicians, babies and their guardians.
