Make that a major robotic milestone x 2! Recently, Buffalo Hospital celebrated the thousandth procedure performed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dana Harms on the Stryker Mako robotic platform. Similarly, Dr. Paul Scott from United Hospital reached the same milestone on the da Vinci platform, which is used for acid reflux surgery, hiatal hernia repair and gallbladder removal, among other procedures. With the new Mako 4 robot coming soon to Buffalo Hospital and the latest da Vinci 5 system being deployed across the network, Allina Health continues to invest in innovative technology. This commitment, combined with the expertise of our providers, ensures that patients can receive minimally invasive, highly precise surgical care. We are proud to partner with Ridgeview to help increase mental health services in the southwest metro. Our team will provide mental health care in Ridgeview’s new Mental Health Services program that will open later this spring in Chaska.
Take a moment to consider your mental health. Find a quiet place, take a few deep breaths and ask yourself a few questions. “How am I feeling overall? Do I feel connected to others? Am I coping with stress effectively?” If you’re experiencing persistent sadness or helplessness for more than two weeks, it may be time to talk to your primary care provider. You will receive an initial mental health screening and a referral to a mental health professional if needed.
