We are excited to welcome Shalom Littrell, LCSWA to our team. Shalom is a licensed clinical social work associate and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in specialized outpatient therapy programs. She will be facilitating our new Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program (IOP) for adolescents beginning in April 2025. AdventHealth is dedicated to meeting the mental health needs of young people in our community, and we are excited to be offering this compassionate care for adolescents aged 13 to 18 who are experiencing psychiatric disorders, behavioral issues, and dual diagnosis. 🌟 Congratulations Jamie Huntley, BSN, RN! 🌟 We are incredibly proud to recognize the uncommon compassionate care of our cardiology nurse, Jamie Huntley, BSN, RN. When a patient accidentally ended up in another state instead of at their medical appointment, Jamie lived out our "Love Me" service standard to provide exceptional care, even from afar! She showed incredible love and compassion by ensuring the patient's safety and meeting their medical needs. Thank you, Jamie, for going above and beyond to care for and love our patients! 💖👏

🌟 Annual Pinwheel Garden Planting for Child Abuse Prevention Month 🌟 April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Once again, AdventHealth Hendersonville planted a pinwheel garden to support Prevent Child Abuse America's Pinwheels for Prevention® program. We are thankful to our community partner, Safelight - hope and healing for families, joining us to help provide this powerful reminder for our community, families, friends, and neighbors of the importance of working together to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children and families. 📸 Event Highlights: Swipe through to see the beautiful pinwheel garden and the heartfelt moments from our event. Each pinwheel planted represents the whimsical and carefree nature of childhood that every child deserves. 👥 Community Involvement: Child abuse claims the lives of more than four children a day, and 7 million children will be brought to the attention of Child Protective Services for child abuse this year. In North Carolina, the rate of child deaths overall in 2023 was 61.5 per 100,000 children ages 0 to 17, which is a slight decrease from the 2022 rate of 63.3, but still the second highest rate recorded since 2009. These statistics highlight the urgent need for community involvement and preventive measures. 💬 Spread Awareness: Help us spread awareness by sharing this post and using the hashtag #PinwheelsForPrevention.
