Simple and sustainable changes to dietary habits can positively impact glucose levels in people with or at risk for diabetes. We’ve invited ADCES Spokesperson Vandana Sheth, RDN, CDCES, FAND to share 3 tips to help your clients manage glucose levels. Tip 1: Pair your carbohydrates with protein and healthy fats. Tip 2: Use the plate method: fill ½ your plate with non-starchy vegetables, ¼ with carbs and ¼ with protein. Tip 3: Use spices like cinnamon, turmeric, or fenugreek to flavor food and reduce the need for salt and sugar. Help your clients learn more about healthy eating through the seasons with this useful resource: https://bit.ly/3YiDZ3l #DiabetesCare #RDN #CDCES #HealthyLiving
