We have some exciting news to share with you! Thanks to the generous support of philanthropist Craig Newmark, Action Tank has been selected to receive a grant from Blue Star Families. This grant will help us establish a Blue Star Families Outpost in our community. Our Outpost is designed to bridge the military-civilian gap, fostering deeper connections and trust in local communities. Through programs and support, we can positively impact the lives of military-connected families and create a stronger sense of community. We're also collaborating with U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan to bring additional opportunities, programming, and support to military and Veterans in our community. Join us in making a difference in the lives of military families. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community.

An amazing day out our free book fair at First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School with books from BookSmiles ! About 600 students took home three books each to contribute to their home libraries. A total of 2380 books were distributed, where the rest of the books went to classroom libraries. We need more free book fairs and more books in the community. Amazing work yesterday at our third annual Vets Feeding Vets Food Giveaway in Croydon! Volunteers provided over $150 worth of fresh food (including milk, eggs, meat... and even socks from Bombas ) to over 100 people. This event was first open to Veterans and then to the public. We're proud to have partnered with BookSmiles to host a book giveaway at Chester Community Charter School! We were able to help provide a collection of books that will create vibrant classroom libraries for teachers and students alike. Chester Community Charter School serves 100% economically disadvantaged students, with 99% of them from minority backgrounds. These books are more than just reading material-they're a doorway to new worlds, new ideas, and new opportunities. We believe that every child deserves the chance to see themselves reflected in the books they read, and together with BookSmiles, we're proud to support educators in fostering a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
