  • Climate change isn’t just about rising temperatures—it’s about the air we breathe and the health of our communities. Pollution hotspots exist near schools, neighborhoods, and workplaces, yet often go unseen, and wildfires present lasting impacts from toxic smoke. Cedars Sinai, a leader in community health, is conducting critical research into the human health impacts of the LA fires, using highly localized and unique data. Clinicians and scientists across academia are increasingly focused on improving measures of health outcomes associated with air exposures. The results of these efforts will play a critical role in shaping the actions we take to protect people and communities, today and in the future. Aclima, a pioneer in hyperlocal air quality mapping, is bringing these invisible realities to light and helping drive solutions at the intersection of technology, policy, and health. Watch Duty is changing the way we live with fires. On April 21st in San Francisco, join public health experts, technologists and regulators for an essential conversation that shifts the focus from carbon to communities. This fireside chat will explore the hidden public health impacts of air pollution and smoke, the role of technology in ensuring access to clean air, and actionable climate solutions. Climate change = a public health crisis. From pollution hotspots near schools to wildfire smoke, the air we breathe affects us. So how can data, technology, and policy drive real solutions? At SF Climate Week, Aclima, Inc. CEO Davida Herzl, Cedars-Sinai's Dr. Susan Cheng, and former California Air Resources Board executive Richard Corey will explore the intersection of air quality, climate action, and public health. Their conversation comes as we prepare to deploy our fleet across California, the largest deployment of its kind in history. It will measure the environmental and health impacts of the recent fires, among many other sources. Their discussion will highlight the role of hyperlocal air quality data in shaping policy, guiding recovery efforts, and ensuring climate resilience in the face of growing environmental challenges. Together, they’ll discuss how hyperlocal air quality data is shaping policy, the health impacts of wildfires, and how technologists, policymakers, and advocates can engage in meaningful climate solutions that improve people's lives. Join us for this fireside chat + networking event and be part of the conversation. Register here: https://lu.ma/6tk5hd2m #CleanAirForAll #ClimateAction #PublicHealth #SFClimateWeek

  • We’re excited to be featured on ABC7 News Bay Area! Our co-founder & CEO, Davida Herzl, sat down with Julian Glover to discuss an update on our work in West Oakland, sharing how our air quality monitoring vehicles help identify pollution hotspots and drive meaningful change for the local community. For years, West Oakland residents have been exposed to some of the worst air pollution in California, impacting health and quality of life. Working alongside community partners and advocates, like the incredible Margaret Gordon of West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project, and policymakers, our hyperlocal air quality data is helping to reduce emissions and protect public health, with tangible, life-changing results: ⬇️ Diesel particulate matter down 31% ⬇️ #Asthma child ER visits ⬇️ #Cancer deaths Julian and Davida also talked about how Aclima is taking this work statewide, to expand these benefits to millions across the state. We're now scaling our fleet of air monitoring vehicles across California to help even more communities fight pollution with data-driven action. Because what gets measured gets managed, and everyone deserves to breathe clean air.  #Results #BetterLives #HealthIsWealth #BusinessForGood

Pollution isn’t just an environmental issue. It’s a data problem. And right now, we’re working with outdated information. At this year’s ClimateCAP at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, Aclima CEO, Davida Herzl spoke with MBA students about why better air pollution and emissions data is critical for change and why resilience is essential in the fight for our earth. The tools used to measure emissions were built in the 1970s, leaving pollution and its impact largely unseen. Entire communities remain invisible in the data, even though historic redlining still determines who breathes the worst air today. But change is possible if we persist. Aclima has spent years challenging the status quo, building a hyperlocal air quality mapping platform that makes pollution visible, block by block. This data has already driven policy change, supporting laws like California’s AB 617, and is now scaling to 64 California communities in partnership with CARB. The next generation of business leaders has the power to drive real impact, but resilience will determine who follows through. Aclima is excited to see what they do next. #ClimateAction #BusinessForGood  #ResilientLeadership

ClimateCAP: The Global MBA Summit on Climate, Capital, & Business brings together MBA students, business leaders, and experts from around the world to assess the implications of climate change for business and investment. At the Summit, students gain a deeper understanding of how climate change is shaping industries and markets, where the biggest financial and operational risks lie, and what promising innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities are emerging.
