ABANCA USA was honored to take part in the third edition of the charity dinner organized by Asociación Mensajeros de la Paz on April 10th. The event was graced by the presence of the organization 's president and founder, Padre Ángel, along with its patron, Chábeli Iglesias, and Honorary Ambassador, Rosana Arbelo. The evening brought together over 100 guests and representatives from leading Spanish companies in Miami, united by a shared commitment to supporting those most in need and helping build a brighter future. Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Mensajeros de la Paz initiatives both in the United States and across parts of Central and South America. These efforts include providing housing for the unhoused in Miami through Hermanos de la Calle USA and advancing projects in Honduras that improve access to education, healthcare, and nutrition for more than 500 children and their families. Last week in Miami, Federación de Cámaras Españolas de Comercio en América (FECECA) held a key gathering that brought together representatives from 21 Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation (CAMACOES)—recognized by the Spanish administration and established across 19 countries in the Americas. The event featured a full program of sessions with discussions that explored critical topics such as trade, economic development, and the important role financial institutions play in supporting international business. To conclude a productive and inspiring week, ABANCA USA had the pleasure of sponsoring the closing networking cocktail, organized by the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce and attended by the Consul General of Spain in Miami, Jaime Lacadena. The Standard & Poors Ratings Services agency has upgraded ABANCA’s long-term issuer rating by one notch, from BBB- to BBB, with a stable outlook. This decision reflects our strong profitability, enhanced capitalization, and ability to generate value from recent acquisitions, including EuroBic and TARGOBANK. Additionally, the agency has raised our short-term issuer rating from A-3 to A-2 and upgraded our long-term resolution rating from BBB to BBB+, while reaffirming our short-term rating at A-2. This marks the fourth upgrade we have received since last November, following similar actions by Moody’s, Fitch, and DBRS. Since April 2022, ABANCA has consistently maintained investment-grade ratings from all four agencies that assess us: DBRS, Moody’s, Fitch, and Standard & Poor’s.
