Excited to share that 6G-NTN partners Martel Innovate and Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna will be at EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025, taking place in Poznan, Poland! Their paper "A Novel Framework for Proactive CNF Orchestration in 6G NTN" has been accepted. Congratulations!
Happy to share that the paper "A Novel Framework for Proactive CNF Orchestration in 6G NTN" has been accepted for the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025! Our work introduces a framework that leverages #AI-driven forecasting to enable proactive orchestration of Containerized Network Functions (CNFs) in future #6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (#NTN). In 6G, network functions will be containerized (for instance, using Kubernetes), but traditional reactive autoscaling struggles to handle the extreme network traffic fluctuations. Our approach utilizes AI to predict resource demands in advance, reducing cold-start delays, and lowering energy consumption. A huge thank you to Riccardo Campana Vito Cianchini Carla Amatetti Massimo Neri and Alessandro Vanelli-Coralli for this great collaboration. 6G-NTN Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU)

6G-NTN reposted this
Non-Terrestrial Networks (#NTN) development requires international research cooperation and collaboration to fully achieve its objectives of providing ubiquitous and continuous connectivity. The upcoming workshop "6G Horizons: Synergies for a Connected Future" as part of EU-Japan Digital Week 2025 in Tokyo on April 1 will address presentations and reports from European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) activities, offering insights into ongoing projects and key achievements in 6G technology. I will present the results and future plans of the SNS-JU 6G-NTN project particularly focusing on innovative architecture options and current waveform analysis aimed at supporting a sustainable infrastructure and an optimized radio interface from day one in #6G. If you are interested in our work on #NTN please, reach out to me, I'll be in Tokyo for the entire EU-Japan Digital Week (31 March to 4 April).
