Pengcheng Laboratory Park, a cutting-edge research and innovation hub, has officially launched in China's Greater Bay Area. The state-of-the-art research facility is designed to drive technological advancements through a collaborative-focused environment. Located in Shenzhen's Shibilong area, the campus seamlessly integrates into the surrounding mountains, offering incredible natural views while minimising ecological impact. Jason A. Easter, Design Principal, shares: “This development is all about fostering collaboration through dynamic transitional and social spaces. We've transformed a typical institutional environment into a vibrant hub for interaction and creativity. Our goal was to blend the natural landscape with scientific inquiry, capturing the flow of energy, ideas, and people.” Recognised for our expertise in research space design, we’re also currently working on several other significant projects, including the Dongguan University of Technology International Cooperation Zone in China and Converge Group's Pampanga Tech City in the Philippines. ▶ Discover more about our project here: https://lnkd.in/g67TnTrU 📷 Photos by ACF #Architecture #ResearchSpaceDesign #Masterplan 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line.

  • We're thrilled to celebrate Kshitija Nagarkar (TJ), an Architectural Designer in our San Francisco (10SB) studio, for being recognized as one of Hotel SPACE magazine's 'Rising Stars to Watch in 2025'! Looking ahead, Kshitija Nagarkar shared - “Hotel design, in the next five years, is set for a transformative journey, focusing on both aesthetics and amenities. We can expect modern architecture's clean lines to be enhanced with intricate details that celebrate craftsmanship, cultural identity, and lots of greenery, bringing nature back into the built environment. While technology will enhance convenience and efficiency, the demand for spaces that foster genuine human-to-human connection will remain a luxury." • Our Principal of Sustainability Transformation, Marion Baeli joined Cundall’s most recent Breakfast Briefing – ‘Changing the Script: Net Zero Carbon Design’. Alongside chair, Robert Marney, Associate at Cundall and panellists Neil Allard, Principal Mechanical Engineer at Cundall; Dan Higginson, Director at Greycoat; and Natalie Barber, Director at Opera; Marion explored the drivers of net zero carbon design and practical examples of delivery.   💡 Key takeaways: 🔸 We must recognise the journey we've been on and how we’ve started tackling the challenge of mitigating our environmental impact. Measuring embodied carbon was unheard of by most, only five years ago, so we’re on a good trajectory, we just need to accelerate the speed of change, whilst inspiring and bringing others along. 🔸 Net Zero is an additional metric to track in an industry already full of complicated variables, such as viability, planning compliance, fire regulations (BSR) etc. We need to be much more collaborative in sharing intelligence and support each other in this steep learning curve. 🔸 We should reassess the necessity to build by starting with the assessment of our existing stock and its potential to meet our needs and implement retrofit at scale. That might lend to a phased approach to manage investment levels. 🔸 Net Zero should not be looked at in a metric funnel way but in a wide panoramic view, including the practical aspect of implementing a net zero strategy. Overall, a fantastic discussion, and one we need to be having more – sharing knowledge and learnings through forums like this is critical to achieving this critical net zero challenge. #NetZero #CarbonFootprint #EcoArchitecture #GreenCities 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line.

  • Thanks to MIPIM Daily News for covering Chris Jones’ thoughts on what to expect in 2025 in their first edition. “One asset class that shows no sign of slowing, is branded residential. We’re working on several projects in the US, where branded residential is already thriving, but we are seeing this model gaining momentum in the UK and Europe and expanding further into the Asian markets.” If you didn’t make it to Cannes, or if the appearance of sunshine in the UK is making you miss the French Riviera, you can find the digital versions of the MIPIM Daily News here: https://lnkd.in/g96xV_tW #MIPIM2025 #MarketInsights #ResidentialDesign 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line

  • José Cláudio Silva, Design Principal in our #Singapore studio, recently sat down with Robb Report Singapore to share his vision on creating high-end properties in space-constrained cities like Singapore, integrating local culture within design, and the shift in luxury design from goods to experiential. “Travellers are becoming more intentional about what they spend, where they spend it, and what they spend it on. Luxury is also perceived in different ways by different cultures. Ultimately, the idea of luxury goes back to tailor-made experiences and personalisation.” Read in full here: https://lnkd.in/g6EfvMnu 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line.

Following the groundbreaking ceremony last December, construction is underway on the Aspira Tower, on Hom Thom Island in Phu Quoc.   Anchored at Bai Trao Beach along Hon Thom Island’s northwest coastline, the design for the 220-meter tower is centred around leveraging and celebrating the natural beauty of the site. As a response to the local terrain and expansive views of the island, we imagined the tower as a pair of billowing sails set upon an invigorated bow – poised to depart into the Gulf of Thailand, blending with the environment whilst standing out as an icon. The integrated destination boasts 305 rooms, restaurants, and bars. Alongside, social amenities including a rooftop garden, wave pool, infinity pool, wellness facilities, family zones, indoor and outdoor dining, and walkways connect visitors easily with the beach.   “It’s exciting to see Aspira Tower break ground. We started the #masterplan for the island's 20-hectare development back in 2021, and the aspiration was to leverage the paradise-like location of Hon Thom Island to create a benchmark luxury destination, raising the tourism profile of the region. Seeing the progress firsthand during our recent site visit was fantastic.” José Cláudio Silva, Design Principal. ▶ Read more: https://lnkd.in/gBSSKZdG ▶ Explore our design for Hon Thom Island: https://lnkd.in/giheff3y #Architecture #Vietnam #LuxuryDestination #ConstructionUpdate 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line.

We’ve just reached six months in our first mentorship program in our Hong Kong studio, so we asked some of our mentees to share some of their thoughts. Their collective experience and feedback reaffirm the importance of visibility of success and mentorship, especially for women in architecture. Yiwen Zhou, Architectural Designer 📢 “While navigating leadership pathways can be daunting, learning from mentors who have successfully overcome barriers has equipped me with actionable strategies to advance my career, and advocate for inclusivity. Collaborating with women from various backgrounds has exposed me to fresh perspectives, and the shared sense of solidarity — hearing peers’ experiences not only gave me confidence but also inspired me to advocate for myself and pursue new opportunities boldly. It requires collective effort to reshape the culture of an industry.” Fei Hong, Associate 📢 “The program creates a safe space within the office, where I can openly discuss challenges and concerns, with my female peers and without fear of judgment. We get to build stronger connections, support one another, and foster mutual encouragement. The most profound influence comes from the role models around us. Our mentors showed incredible generosity in sharing their experiences, insights, and resources, offering both guidance and emotional support. They encouraged and inspired us to maintain confidence and strive for growth.” Haochun Zeng, Architectural Designer 📢 “One of the key takeaways I’ve learned is that imperfection is acceptable. Sometimes, progress simply begins with taking the first step.” Vivien Ng, Architectural Assistant 📢 “As a new joiner and recent graduate, the program immediately connected me to the company and its culture. It’s helping me build a clearer vision for my career paths, learning from the experience of my colleagues. One of my goals when we started was to start preparing for my Part 3 licence, and this program has given me the confidence and motivation to take my first baby step toward achieving that goal.” #WomenInArchitecture #InclusiveDesign #WomensHistoryMonth 10 Design, part of Egis' Architecture Line.
