How do you use digital tools in your classroom?

As aulas remotas que aconteceram na pandemia, fizeram com que os professores conhecessem várias ferramentas, pois eu como professora vivi isso na pele, senti a necessidade de prender a atenção dos alunos que estavam estudam de casa por falta de opção, mas nem sempre estavam adaptados a esse modelo. Algumas ferramentas que comecei usando na pandemia e utilizo até hoje com a volta do ensino presencial: O Kahoot é uma boa opção para criar uma experiência de gamificação. Mentimeter gosto de fazer pesquisa com os alunos, com essa ferramenta.

The integration of digital tools in education is no longer an option but a necessity. In my online events, teachers often inquire about the tools I employ. In this article, I'll delve into how I utilize digital tools to craft dynamic and engaging learning environments for students, clients, and community events. While some may argue that traditional chalkboard lessons are a thing of the past, I believe the era of uninspiring PowerPoint slides is also over. To make PowerPoint engaging, I incorporate interactive multimedia elements like gifs, animations, and the pen tool. Additionally, I use the openBoard application to explain diagrams, software options, coding syntax, and create interactive discussion charts online. Padlet and Miro too.

My experience using digital tool as an artist,art faculty handling Visual Arts and Architecture, for semester 1 to semester 9 ,the 5 years course in India was 90% successful. The subject which is studio study was done sitting at home at the time of covid in the years 2019 to 2022. We have developed an app to make the digital learning experience smooth and interactive for the learners. The Literacy Now app enables teachers and volunteers to conduct interactive assessments and deliver interactive content including videos and games to teach FLN in an enjoyable and effective manner. The app will also enable partner organizations like governments, schools, and NGOs to use large-scale data for decision-making. We keep the content interactive and fun to learn to maximize learning and understanding efficiency.

Many educators complain about the poor communication skills of students, but few are taking it upon themselves to define expectations and show examples of what a professional, courteous email to an adult (ie. your teacher) should look like. I also explain when NOT to email your teacher. (First ask a classmate instead?) I've addressed old fashioned items such as greeting, closing, and how to address your recipient (first name? Last? Three kinds of knowledge that teachers need - Content knowledge (CK): refers to the subject knowledge he or she teaches. If a teacher does not have the necessary content knowledge, it is the teacher’s responsibility to gain that knowledge Pedagogical Knowledge (PK): comes from the teacher’s training, experience, and lifelong learning about education. It is knowledge about how learners learn. PK also means knowing which forms of assessment are best for learning such as summative and when formative assessment is appropriate. Technological Knowledge (TK): A teacher with Tk will know which types of technology will engage and motivate their learners best, and how to use those technologies to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.

Some tools I've used for English classes at University level are Virtual Reality, Gamification (Minecraft) and Artificial Intelligence. That way students get a chance to learn the language in immersive new ways!
