Make change possible Give to uOttawa

Thank you for attending the Fall 2013 Tabaret Society receptions in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. We look forward to seeing you at our reception in the fall!

Tabaret Society

The Tabaret Society is named after Father Joseph-Henri Tabaret and honours individuals whose generosity and commitment play a key role in creating knowledge and in educating the leaders of tomorrow. Under the leadership of Robert Giroux, Tabaret Society members are recognized for their ongoing contributions to the University of Ottawa's teaching and research mission.

Members of the Society have contributed $500 or more over the past fiscal year or have given more than $5,000 over their lifetime while remaining active donors in the past ten years.

The Tabaret Society is divided into three giving levels based on giving focus:

  • Pillars (annual giving)
  • Circles of Distinction (lifetime giving)
  • Heritage Circle (planned giving)

Pillars - annual giving

Given our 160-year history, the campus' architectural influences reflect eras past. Among the most striking features are the pillars, specifically those found in front of Tabaret Hall, which also form part of the University's logo.

Circles of Distinction - lifetime giving

Donors of gifts over $100,000 are recognized as members of the Circles of Distinction of the Tabaret Society. To honour our heritage, the Circles are named after important figures in uOttawa's history.
