Prof. Kelly Burkett is a new professor in statistics. She earned her Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University.
There are six new postdocs: Mohammad Bardestani with Vadim Kaimanovich, Aaron Christie with Monica Nevins, Rory Lucyshyn-Wright with Phil Scott, Camille Male with Benoit Collins, Daniele Rosso with Alistair Savage and Wanshun Wong with Kirill Zaynullin.
There are five new researchers from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Senegal and Ghana. The funding for their stay in Ottawa comes from the HeadStart Initiative, a new program financed by the Government of Ontario. These five researchers are: Clemonell Lord Baronat Bilayi-Biakana with Rafal Kulik, Poclaire Gtougaimbo Kenmogne with Hadi Salmasian, Gerard Lionel Ndetchoua Kouamo with Yves Bourgeault, Moussa Thiam with Mamadou Fall (engineering), and Tantely Rakotoarisoa with Barry Jessup, Alistair Savage and Rick Blute.
Last but not the least is a large number of new undergraduate and graduate students.
