The Avie Bennett prize in Canadian literature
The Avie Bennett Prize is awarded annually for the best undergraduate essay written in English on the subject of Canadian literature, and submitted for a course at the University of Ottawa. Submissions must be the original work of students normally registered (full-time or part-time) in an undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa. All essays are to be submitted to the Chair of the English Department by May 1 each year, for subsequent adjudication by a jury of specialists in the field. Entries will be judged without reference to the name of the student or to the course in which the essay may have been submitted. Students should submit both the marked copy and two clean copies.
