In addition to the traditional B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics and Statistics, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers also a B.Sc. Joint-Honours Mathematics and Economics, a B.Sc. Joint-Honours Mathematics and Computer Science, an undergraduate Cooperative Program, a M.Sc. in bioinformatics and a M.Sc. in biostatistics.
The Department offers a research intensive environment supported by its affiliation to two of the most prestigious mathematical research institutes in Canada; The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences and the Centre de Recherche Mathématique (CRM) de l'Université de Montréal.
