A note from Dr. Martens
One of our faculty members graciously donated his time to spend the night with us and has left us with this note:
With the visit from Clara, the constant beeping of the snow removal trucks, and snoring from Adam and Brian, it was a very interesting night last night.
One night was tough enough, 5 nights out there is an incredible statement from Brian, Josh, and Adam. The interest and support from the public is incredible.
It’s going to be a cold night tonight. Stop by and show your support!

The halfway point
I just made my way to class after the 3rd night of sleeping outside, all I can say is wow… Its been an interesting ride with ups and downs. We got snowed on last night, but from all the exhaustion, I woke up but once to wipe the snow off my face and sleeping bag. I think the only thing that really keeps me going is knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This really hit me, knowing that for some of these kids, there is no light at the end. They dont know when the next time theyre going to have a warm meal or a roof over their head. I think if i had that thought, I wouldnt be able to last, it would be unbearable.
But, never the less, we’re continuing to move forward, we’ve hit our halfway point of our goal and are excited to make it to the end!
Enjoy your comforts, I know I will appreciate them that much more when it’s over.
